Perfect location for scalloping and proximity to town. Easy access to water and has nice dock. It does get very shallow at low tide so anything larger than 20ft boat may be questionable if you plan to leave it tied up. House is clean and has everything we needed, spent most time on the water with where it is located.

Very nice rental. Clean, with a lot of room. But the canal gets really shallow. We had to time the tides when taking our boat out.

We loved the place and the boat access. FYI the toilet in the extra bedroom runs and the hosebib won't shut off completely by the grill. It was clean,quiet and the couches and king bed were very comfortable. Thanks for sharing your home.

This is a great property, but unfortunately, it is not as described. We are in the midst of working with Evolve to get a refund. The property does have a dock, but it is NOT safe to use. There is NO way a 26 foot boat could make it to the dock except at high tide and for a couple of hours. The dock needs to be extended into the canal to truly advertise this amenity correctly. I confirmed with Evolve before booking that the lower portion of the dock is floating because we planned to bring jet skis with us. There is NO floating element to the dock (which I realize is not advertised.....hence why I asked and confirmed before booking). The house itself is cute and clean. The house leans toward the extra bedroom so if you have any balance issues, you'll want to look elsewhere. There was an army of ants in the kitchen near the sink and window which we fought throughout our stay. The mattresses desperately need to be reaplaced for the extra room (daybed and trundle) and the pull-out couch. Our 17 year old woke up with vertigo the first morning because of the lean of the house in addition to the lean of the trundle mattress. We ended up using the blow-up mattress (that did not have sheets that fit it). I communicated all of this with Marlene, who was responsive, but unable to do anything except call the bug company to spray for the ants outdoors. She did contact Evolve for us when I showed her the communication which confirmed the floating dock. We could have overlooked many of these smaller issues if the dock situation had worked out. We traveled to Crystal River primarily to have a house to "ski-in, ski-out" and were extremely disappointed that this wasn't the case. We live in an area where we could go to a boat ramp every day and would not have traveled over at all. I did look for another property on VRBO after the first night (we got in later than expected, at dark, so didn't realize the dock wasn't floating as confirmed, and didn't realize the unlevel nature of the house would affect our daughter as it did until she awoke the first morning). The only other place had carpet throughout the property, which we need to stay away from. The kitchen was well stocked and I was able to cook what I needed. It's been a week since my husband spoke with Reggie at Evolve. We are waiting for their response .
