As soon as you step inside your beautiful, recently-decorated first floor apartment, you'll be ready to kick-back and start your holiday. You'll be welcomed by a light-filled living space that's perfect to relax in after a day out exploring or walking along Slapton Sands, an immaculate three-mile-long shingle beach overlooking Start Bay, which is just a few steps away from your apartment.
With views of both the sea and the freshwater lake in the nature reserve opposite, you can cook, eat, read, watch TV or simply plan your next day's adventure, visiting nearby sandy beaches, National Trust properties or any of the delightful local towns such as Kingsbridge (7 miles), Salcombe (13 miles) and Dartmouth (7 miles). After all that activity your two spacious bedrooms (one double, one twin) provide a tranquil space to retire to at the end of the day!

The location of 9 at the beach in Torcross was excellent, with great views, local cafes/restaurants and amazing walks.
The apartment was roomy and fully kitted out for our stay (including the dog), however the cleanliness of the apartment was below par, there were crumbs, sand and dirt around the table, underneath the sofas and other furniture which had not been moved by the cleaners, we left it cleaner upon leaving than when we arrived. The kitchen area was well stocked and all appliances were clean and worked well, the lounge area had ample comfortable sofas and a good sized TV with access to Netflix etc.
The bedrooms were slightly on the small size, and the beds (especially the double) were small and uncomfortable, whilst the bathrooms were of a good size and well equipped.
There was available parking, which was barrier controlled, however there was no pedestrian access, so the barrier had to be activated via the keypad every time entering or exiting the car park, which was tedious when unloading the gear from the car to the apartment.

Excellent accommodation. Perfectly clean. Just special listening to the sound of the sea. Has all that you'd need for a comfortable holiday stay. Generous welcome basket much appreciated. Very good welcome folder with detailed instructions and lots of walking information. Parking also not a problem. Easy base from which to explore the area although in the immediate vicinity there aren't many amenities. Was also very quiet although we did stay in March.

We had a great stay in Torcross, the property was spotlessly clean and really well equipped, beds were comfortable and plenty of hot water, it was clear that the owner took pride in it from the information and instructions provided. The welcome hamper was beautiful- bread and milk would be a helpful addition given the distance to the nearest shop though. I was worried we might hear noise from other apartments but had no problem at all.

Had a week away to both work and relax. As a result I spent a lot of time in the apartment working. Wifi was really good which made a huge difference. The apartment is really well set up; very comfortable, warm at this time of year, good amount of kit in the kitchen. Had a really nice feel about it. Views not directly over the sea but you can easily see the sea from one living room window and Slapton Ley from the other. Was a small issue at the start with the boiler but I was impressed with how quickly one of the team got back to me to help get it sorted. The location in Torcross is fantastic allowing for easy walking straight form the apartment or Start Point and other places is a short drive away. This is my second visit to Torcross with Luxury Coastal - would highly recommend.
