Turtle Shack is located close to the beach in the charming oceanside community Sea Tern, just north of Duck Village. Bring your family along with your furry friend for some quality time. Relax, make memories, and enjoy the beach in the perfect setting.
The home is very spacious inside and offers good ocean views from top deck and large great room. Nicely furnished and very well equipped kitchen. The dining area seats 8, and the kitchen has 5 bar stools. The covered porch outside provides a dining table for 4. Lounge by your own private pool or take a quick walk to the beach, just 100 yards away.
Sea Tern has private beach and sound access and is conveniently located close to Downtown Duck and the Duck Town Park. Park amenities include a soundside boardwalk, amphitheater, public kayak/canoe launch, picnic shelter, playground, gazebo, walking trails and summer events. A seven-mile long multi-use path is located on the east side of Duck Road and provides a scenic and safe recreational venue for visitors to enjoy. Pedestrians, bicyclists and in-line skaters share the Duck Trail.

This was our third stay at Turtle Shack. We love the location, the house is well-equipped, the new sun room really makes the living space feel larger and the management company is very responsive--missing towels were delivered in minutes. We plan to stay here again in the future. My only complaint is that closet and bedroom doors are not cut to accommodate carpet making them very difficult to open and close at times.

Turtle Shack was the perfect spot for our family vacation. It is a VERY short walk to the beach. The house is nestled in a very nice beach neighborhood. Turtle Shack is a beautifully designed home with pretty updated furniture to make it very comfortable and relaxing. It is large enough and layed out so perfectly that a large family may spread out. There were no signs of any pets from the previous visitors but speaking of pets what a perfect spot Turtle Shack is for them. It has a nice side yard along with the earlier mentioned neighborhood. Restaurants and shopping are not far away from this spot. Our only complaint is the housekeeping specifically in the kitchen. We were shocked by what we found in the garbage disposal but our call to the rental office was responsive. Except for a few dirty dishes found on the shelf and the dirty bath mats the rest of the house was spotless. We would not hesitate to return next year and hope to do so! Turtle Shack was a great find.

This is our 2nd time staying at the Turtle Shack, and we thoroughly enjoyed it again! The beds are very comfortable and the living space is great in the kitchen and living room area with beautiful views of the beach.

The house was very cute inside and a very close walk to the beach. I have to say outside was another story. This home is dog friendly. The entire yard was filled with some kind of long, sticky briars that stuck to our dog's fur and skin. Very painful to remove for her and for us. A simple weed whack of the premises would prevent this from happening. No real play area for children as well. No blankets or top sheet for beds. Floors left our 20 month old with dirty feet. Rugs could use a cleaning as well. Close to beach, but would not stay here again.
