Proximity to all the Facilities we love like Barbados Golf Club, easy access and wide parking spaces on the property were a welcome relief

Loved everything

The property is well located (8mins by car from Oistins fish market). There is 3 separate rooms with air conditioning. The back yard was very cozy and comfortable to have a drink at night and relax.

Having to pay in advance with Western Union or bank transfer instead of a credit card because I didn't know the owner of the property, but the owner was very good and all payments and return of security deposit were on time so it ended up being a non-issue.

The Good Life's location is perfect, peaceful and comfortable. From that location, it was easy to access the beaches various beaches, food outlets. We even had the opportunity to enjoyed a football game in St. Lawrence.

Everything was wonderful.

Layout of bungalow is good and virtually next door to the Barbados Golf club which has a very good bar and restaurant. Exceptional friendly staff there. The owner of the bungalow, Soraya, answered all our questions promptly. It is directly on a bus route and transportation to the coast is easy. The air conditioning and fans kept the property cool. Excellent washing machine and drying facilities. Gardener and pool maintenance man both attended during our stay.

In none of the reviews on this property was there a mention that it is situated next to a busy noisy road and also about 100 yds away from a bar that has music blasting out on a Saturday night until 1.30 am and Wednesday nights until 11 pm. Also a nearby property had 2 dogs running loose in their garden 24 hours a day barking at anything that moved. We rarely had an uninterrupted night's sleep in the 16 days that we were there. We spoke to neighbours who also found it noisy but apparently nothing is able to be done by the local community. I'm sorry to say that all though the beds were comfortable enough the rest of the furniture wasn't. Including the garden chairs and loungers. Overall impression was that everything was tired. Superficially clean but not clean enough. Loads of hair on the bathroom floor from previous visitors and quite dusty on dining chairs, windows and wall pictures. I do think that hiring a car is advisable as it is difficult to get to many parts of the island without one.
