Villa for 6 people, dating from 1912 and completely renovated in April 2019. Sans Gène is one of the oldest houses in St-Idesbald and is located in a quiet street a few steps from the Delvaux museum, the beach and shops. We have left it with its authentic character while offering you the comfort of today (beautiful kitchen equipped with dishwasher, Wifi, television with Telenet connection, washing machine, dryer ... etc).
The decoration and the furniture have been chosen with care, with the aim of putting you in "vacation" mode as soon as you open the door. The small south-facing garden invites you to relax and have a good time. The house was every bit as charming as suggested by the fotos and perfectly equipped. The walk to the beach short and pleasent and the overall location very good. Katrien and her partner were very welcoming, helpful and patient, although we arrived with some delay. We will love to come back.

We loved the house and especially the kitchen. Not only do you have a fully equipped kitchen, the quality of the tableware and the kitchen tools is extraordinary. It does not feel like a rented out holiday home but a family resort in a quiet street. Katrijn and her husband have put a lot of care into the decoration and style of the house. Thank you!

We had wonderful holidays. Along with the beautiful beach and charming village, the house was definitely a highlight. Its absolutely lovely furnished and decorated. Everything is thought-out and designed for a perfectly comfortable stay. There are games for children (for every age), toys for the beach and even bicycles. The hosts are very helpful, discrete and trustful. We can fully recommend the stay in this stunning house.

Everything you could want!

Beautiful house with all the amenities and an occasional surprise here and there. We loved the rotund lady about to dive into the water! Everything that you need has been anticipated and provided. The location is ideal, peaceful neighborhood, 5 minutes' walk to the beach. We love to watch a movie in the evening and were well supplied with Telenet and Netflix. The only difficulty was on sunny evenings, we couldn't see the TV screen very clearly.

Nette Unterkunft, aber Vorsicht im Schadensfall

Obwohl die Unterkunft ganz ordentlich und gepflegt, die Begrüßung auch nett war, haben wir leider mit der Vermieterin Katrien zuletzt schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht. Während unseres Aufenthalts sind uns ein Gartenstuhl und zwei Dekorationen im Haus kaputt gegangen. Entsprechend habe ich Katrien den Schaden vor Abreise per SMS geschildert und angeboten, diesen über unsere Versicherung zu begleichen. Sie wollte allerdings die Versicherung hier nicht einschalten und schlug ihrerseits eine Summe vor, die ich ihr überweisen sollte. Mich hat die Höhe diese Betrags stutzig gemacht. Tatsächlich hielt ich den Schaden für eine Bagatelle, der in den Mieteinnahmen einkalkuliert ist. Zur Erklärung: die Schadensfälle hatte ich für mich per Foto dokumentiert. Entsprechend ließen sich die Preise z.T. recherchieren. So gibt es den Gartenstuhl unter dem Namen Multistore 2002 u.a. bei Otto online zu bestellen. Wir haben diesen exakt gleichen Stuhl selber zu Hause und damals bei JYSK für wirklich wenig Geld gekauft. Der Preis ist daher sehr transparent einsehbar. Katrien hatte hier sehr abweichende Preisvorstellungen. Der Stuhl war zudem bereits älter. Bei den beiden anderen Artikeln handle es sich um persönliche Geschenke bzw. „eine unersetzliche, antike Urne“. Das wirkt wenig glaubwürdig, denn in dem Haus befindet sich zwar schöne, aber einfache Deko und meist IKEA Vintage-Style. Mein Angebot war schließlich eine niedrigere Barzahlung, ggf. mehr bei Vorlage von Quittungen, oder als ultima ratio die Hinzunahme der Versicherung. Seitens Katrien kam daraufhin nur noch diese Rückmeldung (Auszug im Original): „[…]Its a pitty you let your children play with our decoration. Better rent a cheaply decorated holiday house in the futur. Best regards and keep your money.“ Ich kann hier leider keine gute Bewertung abgeben. Ich finde Katriens Rückmeldung, Ton und Umgang mit einer solch banalen Situation unprofessionell. Zumal ich mich als Mieter sogar noch um die Klärung bemühe und den Schaden detailliert ihr melde. Das sollte jedem Interessenten hier eine Warnung sein, insbesondere Familien mit Kindern.

Oui le Paradis existe et il se trouve à Saint-Idesbald à la Villa Sans Gène ! Merveilleux séjour dans une maison extrêmement propre, aménagée avec goût et passion. Tout est magnifiquement agencé et rien ne manque. Que dire des hôtes Katrien en Benny ? 2 personnes d'une gentillesse extraordinaire qui savent prendre soin de leurs invités et bien plus encore ! Nous ne chercherons plus où loger à la côte belge....nous avons trouvé notre Paradis ! Merci 100000000 fois ! A recommander vivement...

Magnifique, excellentes prestations, je recommande vivement

Nous avons séjourné 1 semaine avec un bébé, un enfant, les parents et grands-parents. La maison est spacieuse et entretenue avec un TRES grand soin, tout est impeccable et conçu pour une ambiance de vacances conviviale. Les propriétaires particulièrement soigneux multiplient les petites attentions pour que tout le monde se sente bien. La maison est très bien décorée, bonne literie (X4 chambres doubles), bref un excellent rapport qualité-prix pour un service 5 étoiles. La maison est à quelques minutes de la plage dans un beau quartier résidentiel, des commerces de bouche de grande qualité sont à proximité.

Maison magnifique et extrêmement bien équipée. La décoration choisie avec goût nous entraine directement dans les vacances. Tout est fait pour que les locataires se sentent dans un foyer accueillant. Je viens de passer 10 jours à la Villa Sans Gêne où je fus accueillie par Katrien et Benny, propriétaires fort sympathiques et très attentionnés. L’annonce et les photos sont absolument conformes. Très belle maison, décorée avec énormément de gout et des matériaux de choix (superbe parquet et escaliers…) La cuisine est super bien équipée avec tous les électro-ménagers, une machine à café à grains (et même de l’huile et des épices, des sacs poubelles, des pastilles lave-vaisselle, du savon à main, kleenex, serviettes en papier, produit machine à laver etc…) Les chambres et salles de bain sont confortables. Et surtout quel calme... Nous avons pu garer les deux voitures dans la propriété La plage est vraiment proche 400m et les commerces (boulangerie, charcuterie…) à 5mm à pied Le garage permet de laisser le matériel de plage, bottes etc... sans devoir les rentrer dans la maison Séjour formidable, on avait l’impression d’être chez soi, cette maison à une âme. On y serait bien resté. On reviendra et je vais recommander autour de moi Merci à Katrien et Benny et félicitations à vous pour cette superbe maison, dans l’esprit des vacances et du littoral

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine en famille dans la villa Sans Gêne. La villa a été rénovée avec goût, elle est spacieuse lumineuse, comfortable et très bien équipée. Elle est idéalement située à 5 minutes à pied de la digue et de la rue commerçante. Nous avons loué des vélos que nous avons pu stocker dans le garage (fermé à clés). La terrasse exposée au sud nous a permis de profiter des rayons de soleil printanniers. Katrien et Benny sont des propriétaires sympathiques et attentionnés (lits faits à l'arrivée et essuies à disposition). De vraies vacances tranquilles!

Pour un plan B (fermeture des frontières), ce fut un superbe plan B... Nous avons passé une super semaine dans cette maison et avons bien changer d’air... Accueil très cordial par Benny et Katrien dans cette jolie maison début 1900 ! Merci !! La déco est de très bon goût, trendy et traditionnelle en même temps. La cuisine est pratique, super bien équipée, les chambres et salles de bain sont confortables. Tout est très clean et c’est chouette de voir que tout est prévu comme si on était chez soi (une machine à café à grain, des sacs poubelles, des pastilles lave-vaisselle, du savon à main,...). Ce que nous avons aussi aimé : Parking : nous avons pu parquer 2 voitures dans la propriété. Heureusement car la rue est payante. A part les grandes courses au carrefour de Coxyde, nous avons laissé les voitures immobiles toute la semaine. Les commerces ne sont pas loin. Digue : la digue est aussi vraiment proche à pied, 400-500m. Vélo : les balades à vélo sont faciles. Il y a plusieurs trajets possibles. Le système flamand de « fietsknoop» est très pratique. Nous avons loué des vélos chez Rodeo (90EUR/6 jours pour un vélo électrique) et il y a un garage à côté de la maison pour les entreposer. Bref, expérience super agréable !

Wir waren mit mehreren Erwachsenen und Kindern (1,5 Jahre) für 4 Tage in diesem wunderschön Häuschen. Es ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und perfekt ausgestattet. Alles was man auch nur benötigen könnte ist vorhanden. Die Vermieter es waren sehr nett und wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist ideal, da man zu Fuss in wenigen Minuten am Strand oder bei den Geschäften und Restaurants ist. Wir hätten unseren Urlaub gerne verlängert.....

Von Anfang bis Ende ein perfekter Urlaub in der Villa Sans Gene! Unsere Fragen wurden im Vorfeld immer sehr schnell und ausführlich von Katrien beantwortet. Am Anreisetag wurde wir herzlich von Katrien und Benny empfangen und mit vielen Informationen versorgt. Das Haus ist ein Traum!! Es wurde letztes Jahrs komplett renoviert und ist in einem hervorragenden Zustand. Es wurde sehr viel Liebe in die Gestaltung und die Einrichtung gesteckt. Jedes Zimmer ist liebevoll dekoriert und mit allem nötigen ausgestattet. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet und auch hier wurde an nichts gespart. Im kleinen Hinterhof kann man gemütliche Stunden verbringen und es gibt eine Garage in dem man seine Fahrräder stellen kann. Der Strand, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar. Wir hoffen, das wir eines Tages wiederkommen!

Net terug van een vakantie aan de Belgische kust. Een pareltje, dit huis! Het is door de eigenaren met zorg opgeknapt en ingericht. Er is veel ruimte en het huis heeft een fijne sfeer. Door de complete inrichting ontbreekt het je werkelijk aan niets in je vakantie. De ligging is fijn: in een rustig straatje, maar toch op loopafstand van strand en boulevard. We hebben genoten!
