Lovely people renting out their top floor to guests

Owners are lovely and so welcoming, the place is modern, clean, AC, very cozy and comfortable. Parking is right next to the property and easy, drive to St Tropez not too long even with traffic. Lovely place! Despite my notes below I would 100% recommend this place to others, especially people road-tripping around who need an overnight stay near St Tropez!

It wasn't made entirely clear to me whether I was sharing bathroom+hallway with others since the layout would suggest shared space & bathroom but my booking confirmation said private bathroom. That was a little confusing. Plus the bathtub did not have a plug which is a shame because that bath would've been amazing. Front door difficult to open sometimes.

Would recommend it!

The owner was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The area is very calm and well located, near the center of the village. The Interieur of the residence is furnished with a great sense for Interieur decoration.

For me it was excellent- I felt I was living in a French home. Price was excellent

1) Be aware this is a room in the owners house- and you have your own bathroom as long as no one is in the other guest room. If you are not comfortable being in someones house- this is not the place. 2) This place is in a residential neighborhood- it was hard to find- and there was no sign or anything- again part of the issue of being in the room in someones house. 3) THe owner is so friendly and made an amazing breakfast- she let me use her refrigiratior/ wine bottle opener and really made me feel this was my home as well. I was travelling by myself and I am very well travelled so I appreciated this so much-- but some might find the set up not to their liking. Booking should have been more clear that this is truly renting a room versus a hotel or your own Air BNB

- Centrally located (if you have a car)

- We booked a room with private toilet, however, the toilet was already clogged at our arrival. So we couldn’t use this toilet during our stay and needed to use the shared bathroom with 6 different people which isn’t hygienic especially during COVID-19; - Difficult to communicate with the host in English; - For some reason our booking wasn’t correctly registered through which the check-in took a lot of time; - Parking difficulties in the immediate area of the stay

Big disappointment indeed!

Overall, the location was quiet and okay. The city center of Cogolin could be reached in 10 minutes by foot. The beach of Pampelonne can be reached by car in about 20 minutes.

Big disappointment! Only when we arrived in the evening were we told that the toilet would not work and that we would have to use the toilet on the ground floor together with the hotel owner and other guests. The toilet seemed to be broken for some time. If guests switched on the light in the hallway during the night, the light also went on automatically in our room and woke us up every night. We were able to live with all restrictions until we had to experience another surprise in the end. We had asked the hotel owner 2 days after our booking and about 2 weeks before our arrival whether we could postpone our arrival by one day because we had made a mistake on the date. She wrote us that that was not a problem and that she would change the dates on Booking.com, and even confirmed that with us by text message. However, she did NOT do this and wanted to blame us. We ended up paying for another night because she tricked us and added another night to our stay, a day before our departure. The hotel owner seems like a nice person in general, but her behavior towards her guests has been very unprofessional in this regard. Either she forgot to pass the rebooking on to booking.com or she deliberately didn't do it in order to be able to get more money from us. Although we were able to provide evidence in the form of text messages (SMS, email, chat), she tried to vehemently deny that she had made a mistake. After several weeks of communication, over several phone calls with booking.com, we finally received compensation, even if not for the full price.

Very nice for a short stay

The house was very clean and the owner was washing it constantly. It is a very beautiful house with a nice bathroom well located close to the center of cogolin. The owner was very helpful with everything we asked and has a good music taste!!

There was not a lot of privacy since we got the room with a shared bathroom, right next to another room. The owner lives there, which Made us feel like we were sleeping in Her house, and not in a airbnb/hotel room.

La propriétaire est très sympa. Emplacement un peu retiré du centre ville. Très calme, place de parking à côté du logement. Chambre très confortable aménagée avec raffinement, lit top confort. Petit déjeuner avec le plus confiture maison un régal

Un petit coin de paradis au clos des anges

Arrivée pour un événement douloureux, j'ai de suite sentie que l'endroit était calme et parfait pour se ressourcer. La gentillesse de Virginie nous met de suite à l'aise et son accueil est remarquable. La chambre est très calme, côté jardin .De plus elle est décorée avec goût et beaucoup de classe. La literie permet de faire de doux rêves dans un lit king size, c'est un plus ! Autre avantage: une place de parking à côté de la maison rien que pour les invités. Dans Cogolin, c'est exceptionnel. Proximité d'un parc attrayant et du centre-ville à même pas dix minutes à pied. Petit-déjeuner copieux avec viennoiseries et gâteaux faits maison ( le massepain restera dans ma mémoire, miam), confitures maison avec un plus sur la confiture de pastèque, étonnante. Café à volonté et moment de convivialité avec notre hôtesse Virginie pour oublier le temps qui passe. C'est prévu, je reviendrai aux beaux jours ...et je recommande vivement ce petit coin de paradis au clos des anges.

La mauvaise foi et l'hotesse et sa fille ; j'avais appellé 1 semaine avant pour valider une heure d'arrivée un peu plus tôt (pour un mariage et l'heure du petit-déjeuner le lendemain) => chambres non terminées en arrivant et PAS DE PETIT-DEJEUNER. Elles se plaignent du travail que leur génèrent ces chambres (sic). Elles sont insupportables et de mauvaise foi. Je ne parle pas de la déco (chacun ses gouts mais bon ....) ; la localisation est épouvantable : un mini bloc de béton dans une simili résidence entourée de barres d'immeuble ...

Nicht zu empfehlen

Wir hatten eine komfortable Ferienwohnung gebucht und sind in einer schmutzigen Gartenlaube untergebracht worden die Mülleiner waren voll, kein Wasserkocher, kein Kühlschrank,…. Der Garten war mit Laub bedeckt, die Stühle ohne Belag. es kam zu einem Regenschauer und das Wasser lief zu den Tpren und zum Dach rein. Absolute abzocke.

Fuggite lontano da questo posto

Ho prenotato tramite Booking una camera e pagata subito. Chiesto di poter effettuare il check in anticipato ( temperatura a 37 gradi oggi) in moto. La signora il 9 agosto sembrava disponibile. Il 10 agosto ci siamo presentati davanti allo stabile a Cogolin e nessuno ha risposto al telefono ( ho chiamato il numero registrato su Booking) lasciato messaggi in segreteria, messaggi su WhatsApp. La signora Virginie è magicamente sparita per tutto il giorno per riapparire questa sera verso le 20 dicendo che non ci siamo presentati per il check in quando lei ha aspettato noi tutto il giorno. Ridicola e se possibile anche una persona in malafede. State lontani perché abbiamo perso i soldi con la furbizia della signora Virginie. Scandaloso. Booking dovrebbe rimuovere la struttura. Una stella perché se no non pubblicavo la recensione. Se no zero. P.s abbiamo dovuto prenotare e un altro hotel su Booking ( costo 266 euro) per poterci organizzare e fare una doccia visto che qui ci sono 36 gradi.

Für einen längeren Aufenthalt nicht geeignet

Es war ein separates Appartement/Nebengebäude in einem Privathaus mit eigenem Zugang. Der Empfang war freundlich und es wurde uns alles erklärt.

Es gab leider keinen Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher und Tassen. Das Waschbecken leider auch sehr verbaut und das Waschen war nicht einfach.

L’accueil a été parfait : Virginie et sa famille sont adorables, très attentionnés et disponibles. L’emplacement est pratique, au calme mais à seulement quelques minutes de Saint-Tropez. Un vrai petit cocon où l’on se sent bien. Merci encore pour ce bel accueil !

Super accueil (ambiance familiale), super emplacement (possibilité de se garer et d'accéder au centre ville de Cogolin à pied). Un jardin méditerranéen comme on les aime.
