Simply fantastic!

While going up towards Bedero Valcuvia, we asked ourselves: where on earth is the navigator taking us? Once we arrived, we immediately understood why it’s called “Il balcone sulla valle” (“The Balcony Over the Valley”). It truly is an enchanting place with an incredible view of the mountains framing Lake Maggiore. The atmosphere is peaceful, and all the staff are wonderfully kind. The food is homemade, genuine, and delicious, with almost all ingredients coming from their own gardens or farms. Don’t miss out on ordering a platter of cured meats and cheeses—it’s absolutely fantastic. The animals, from pigeons to guinea fowl, geese to peacocks, and finally the beautiful Highland cattle, are all very well cared for and happy. We will definitely be back.

This is a sore point, and I wouldn’t want to offend the two beautiful roosters at the farmhouse, but they turned out to be diligent yet a little confused employees. The romantic early-morning wake-up to the crowing of a rooster was lovely — except that the wretched fellow started at 3 a.m., clearly having completely messed up his time zone…

Great potential but guests need to be looked after a little better

Property was clean, and as described. Location was isolated, which we knew before hand, and the views were stunning.

Breakfast was the bare minimum imaginable. No information at the property about restaurant, food, drinks, activities near by etc. The stairs in the room were very uneven/wobbly.

The apartment had no cutlery, plates or even a cup in the kitchen cabinets, even though there was a small water boiler -

Great authentic Italian experience

Great landscape around the Agriturismo. The food in the Restaurant there was very good. It seems to be a very traditional building. I enjoyed its authenticity.

We had a lovely time and we ate very good food.

The breakfast and the evening dinner were excellent. The host exceptional and very kind. The agriturismo was in a perfect location and perfect place to relax and also less than an hour away from Switzerland.

The sofa bed was a bit uncomfortable, and for light sleepers the house is noisy especially when there are people coming in their rooms at night.

A pleasant view and good place to stay during the warm season.

The location was just perfect! Super nice view and everything is just surrounded by nature. We even got additional key to open the main gates if we get back late at night. A parking lot is huge and we were only by ourselves so privacy was guarateed.

We have included breakfast, unfortunately the breakfast was very poor - no warm food for it, no fruits, event we had to ask plates for eating. There was no fridge in the room or cattle so it wasn't pleasant. Also in the neighbourhood there are no groceries store, so if you are heading here during the cold season, you should think what you are going to eat during your staying. Also it was quite hard to understand the host because he didn't speak English. Aslo the floors in the room were cold and not very clean. Seems that there were some bugs in the sleeping blanket.

Superb

We intentionally came to a farm which is a modest place and it was as we anticipated. The view was great, the hosts were very nice ( speaks 95% Italian), dinner was very good specially the steaks. The room was fine and warm. The bath was fine. Their were interesting farm life for the kids ( 3yrs, 9yrs).

Do you like a relaxing farm with not many tourists around you? You know you do...

The agriturismo had everything I expected from a farm stay. Lots of animals that children could interact with (a horse, a pair of donkeys, cows, hens, geese, a flock of pigeons I believe, a small cat family, a rather friendly dog). A bio-lake children could dip in during hot days. A rural cosy restaurant with rather familial food. An adequate wi-fi and a reasonable LTE coverage. Hilly surroundings with lots of nice hikes. Italian lakes within short distance, and also Swiss Miniatures are nearby. Even on days when the restaurant is closed, the accommodation offers to provide a lunch and a dinner, "just ask us the day before". I found that a nice touch. There is no TV in the rooms. Some might consider that "not like", I considered it "like".

It must be said that the rooms lacked a bit of sound insulation; one can hear their neighbors speak word-for-word through the walls. There is not much storage space in some of the rooms, a closet might be helpful; other rooms were okay. One person from our party complained about uneven mattresses; others felt they were fine. The hosts were really friendly but their English was rather limited. They were trying all they could to make themselves understood though. I do not feel there was a big problem, we were able to understand each other eventually, and I found it rather funny how I was able to "speak" "Italian" myself. Vegetarians from our travel group felt that they did not get enough choice in the restaurant, especially on the "off" days when food was prepared for us only (i.e., no selection). Admittedly, this might have been caused by our lack of Italian/hosts' lack of English and subsequent under-communication. The level of preparedness of hiking trails is somewhat lower than in the more touristy areas. (Italian standard of trails is lower than Austrian standard in my experience, and this area standard was lower than what I experienced elsewhere in Italy.) The trails are marked a little sparse and one has to be prepared to cross multiple tree-blowdown areas. (I know, "it is this kind of the year". No big issue really, just something to be prepared for.)

Beautiful location with lots of potential

Such a beautiful farm and location overlooking the valley. The farm owner was really welcoming and enthusiastic about sharing his stories and showing us around the farm. There are plenty of animals - great for kids. Room was very spacious but a little sparsely furnished - could have done with a sofa or some comfy chairs for relaxing. The natural rock swimming pool is beautiful and inviting (despite the algae - a bit of work needs to be done on the filtering system). We enjoyed eating at the restaurant most evenings - good value for money and interesting flavours (saffron risotto and pickled lake fish were particularly good). Great local wines.

Breakfasts were disappointing - no yogurts or cereals, and dismal offering of fresh fruit. Service and management leave a lot to be desired. This place could be amazing with a bit more attention to detail and better management. Pool has a lot of algae - they need to work on the filtering system (but it's still inviting and refreshing and being a natural pool isn't such a problem).

Mooie locatie, maar de kamers zijn qua comfort zeer slecht (warm en gehorig en miste zitmeubelen).

De locatie is schitterend, vooral het uitzicht en de tuin. Ook de dieren op het terrein zijn hartstikke leuk, met de mooie vijver.

Gastvrijheid van het personeel was slecht. Geen uitleg bij aankomst of warm onthaal. De aanwezige zuid-amerikaanse gastvrouw kon helemaal geen Engels en alleen Italiaans spreken. Het ontbijt was slecht met droog brood en gigantisch veel vliegen op het eten. De kamers waren niet comfortabel. De kamers waren gehorig en veel te warm. De ramen snachts open houden was geen optie vanwege de muggen en de herrie op het terras tot 0:00 uur á 1:00 uur. Goede ventilatie of isolatie en horren bij de ramen had veel verschil gemaakt. De haan begon al om 5 uur s ochtends de kraaien. De trap van naastliggende kamers liggen op dezelfde draagbalk waardoor het lijkt of ze jouw trap gebruiken. Er is geen zitmogelijkheid in de familiekamer aanwezig, een bank of een tafel met 4 stoelen had handig geweest. Het stapelbed heeft een minimale valrand, niet geschikt voor kinderen onder de 10 jaar. Jammer want de locatie is geweldig, maar het comfort op de kamers is zeer slecht.

Oasi di pace dopo un durissimo viaggio

Siamo arrivati tardi, con la pioggia e i fulmini, ma per fortuna lo staff molto gentilmente ci ha permesso di cenare nonostante l'ora. Il mattino dopo, dopo una ricca colazione, abbiamo avuto modo di apprezzare la vista sulla valle, la tranquillità del luogo e i numerosi animali di proprietà della struttura.

Guter Zwischenstopp mit schönem Zimmer - Abendessen etwas speziell.

Tolle Lage mit Blick über die Berge. Mit dem Auto gut erreichbar und ein guter Stopp auf dem Weg von D nach I . Das Zimmer war geräumig, für Familie mit zwei jugendlichen Kindern ideal, da auf zwei Ebenen mit Treppe verbunden. Das Bad groß und sauber. Das Außengelände ist gepflegt, viele Sitzmöglichkeiten im Garten. Viele Tiere, für kleine Kinder sicher toll. Das Frühstück ordentlich, herzhaft und süß.

Das Abendessen. Die Antipasti und Vorspeisen war sehr fett und fleischlastig. Speck und Schwarte in verschiedenen Variationen. Auf den Crostini, auf der gemischten Platte, fette Wurst, überall Speck, in Scheiben, angemacht mit Zwiebeln... SEHR deftig. Vielleicht ist das regionale Küche, für unsere Geschmäcker war das nichts. Salat gab es nicht mehr. Fleisch spielt die Hauptrolle. Pasta als ragu war ok. Gergrillter indivia auch. Pommes beim Burger ohne Brot war auch gut.

Endroit admirablement situé . Chambres à revoir mais coté restauration très satisfaisant

Vue exceptionnelle absolument magnifique Petit déjeuner trés copieux et très bon . Personnel très agréable.

Chambre au confort un peu bref . Il nous avait été annoncé un possible supplément pour notre chien , les 15€ demandés par nuit nous ont semblé un peu abusifs et ce n’est pas à cause de la taille de notre petit York … tout simplement abusif 45€ pour 3 nuits . Voilà une chose à signaler dans vos descriptifs….

Abgeschieden und nicht wirklich la Dolce Vita!

Der Garten bzw. Außenanlagen und der Naturpool sind sehr schön, die Aussicht ebenfalls...

Sehr enges und dunkles Zimmer mit unbequemer Schlafcouch. Kein TV und Kühlschrank in den Zimmern. Da der Hof sehr abgelegen liegt und das Restaurant nur von Do. - So. geöffnet ist (alle Gerichte zudem teuer und nicht gut), wäre eine kleine Kochgelegenheit zudem wünschenswert. Man muss immer mind. 10 km fahren, um Restaurants oder Einkaufsmöglichkeiten zu finden... Alles in allem hat uns die eigentlich berühmte italienische Gastfreundlichkeit gefehlt... Das Frühstücksbüfett war sehr überschaubar, frische Semmeln gab es nie, das beste waren die aufgebackenen Croissants... Für ein bis zwei Nächte wäre es ok, aber eine ganze Woche war eindeutig zu lang!

schitterende locatie

Wat een prachtige locatie. De foto's doen het geen recht. Het is een fantastisch mooi domein met een schitterend uitzicht. Het personeel spreekt alleen Italiaans maar doet zijn best en is super vriendelijk. Het eten was ook erg lekker.

's nachts was het erg benauwd op de bovenverdieping van de kamer. Dat kwam deels door het weer, maar een ventilator of airco zou zeker geholpen hebben.

Hermoso lugar.muy cuidado y tranquilo

Todo perfecto. Ana y Mariana nos recibieron con mucha buena onda y información para nuestra estadía. El lugar es realmente mágico. Ofrece unas vistas panorámicas a las montañas hermosas. El parque es enorme. Y la comida para chuparse los dedos (felicitaciones también al chef ) En resumen : llegamos por accidente y definitivamente vamos a volver por la calidez de sus empleados y la belleza del lugar !

On était content de partir.

La vue

Chambre envahie de moustiques avec une moustiquaire accrochée avec un scotch qui ne tient pas, salle de bain ( douche et wc bouchés). La chambre n'a pas été faite en 4 jours, ni les serviettes changées. La piscine naturelle est une mare pleine de vase. Le personnel n'était pas sympathique surtout une femme.

Location favolosa, ma il resto è da migliorare

La location è incantevole, in mezzo al verde e agli animali: la meta perfetta per staccare dalla monotonia e lo stress della città. Il cibo è molto buono, con materie prime, specialmente le verdure, fresche. La colazione, nonostante il buffet fosse un po’ povero, era ottima, le confetture deliziose e fatte in casa. La camera era spaziosa e accogliente, con un bell’idromassaggio.

La pulizia delle camere non era ottimale, in alcuni angoli erano presenti delle ragnatele e inoltre faceva veramente caldo, l’aria condizionata non esisteva. Il wifi funzionava solo nella “hall”. È stato piuttosto deludente sapere che la piscina non esiste ma è, in realtà, il laghetto, i meglio stagno, che si vede nelle foto. Infine, il servizio da parte del personale va nettamente migliorato: consiglio un po’ più di formazione per quanto concerne gli orari del ristorante e un po’ più di attenzione alle richieste del cliente.

È davvero un balcone sulla Valle

Posto incantevole.... Tra relax e natura meravigliosa ti senti proprio in pace....presente un bel laghetti artificiale bio naturale che rende il posto molto più carino... Ma la vista dall agriturismo è qualcosa di incredibile... È veramente un balcone sulla Valle... Cibo veramente a km 0 tutto prodotto da loro e si vede e soprattutto si sente!!! Si possono anche ammirare gli animali presenti, dalle oche, ai conigli,ai bufali e le mucche, e tante altre specie, tutti tenuti benissimo, perché nonostante fossero affianco al ristorante e alla struttura, non si sentiva alcun odore (non da poco questo fatto) Staff disponibile, gentile e sempre col sorriso! Siamo stati benissimo, ci torneremo sicuramente

Unica pecca il materasso ed il cuscino (non proprio comodissimi)e sarebbe stata gradita magari almeno una bottiglia d'acqua... ma stanza tutto sommato pulita e molto bella, molto suggestiva, con soppalco e tetto in legno a vista.... Bellissimo... Per non parlare del bellissimo panorama che si ha affacciandosi alla finestra

Zimmer auf Bauernhof

Die Lage in den Bergen, mit Hund, der große Garten, die Größe des Zimmers.

Die Hellhörigkeit des Zimmers. Bis nach 0.00 haben wir den Fernseher im Nachbarzimmer gehört. Alles Klopfen hat nicht geholfen. Der Badeteich war zu grün zum Baden und an dem Eingang direkt ein Bienennest leider.

Aspettative non del tutto soddisfatte.

Bellissima la posizione e gli spazi verdi in cui rilassarsi. Lo staff gentile, colazione abbondante e di qualità. Più che buono anche il servizio ristorante.

Personalmente il bio lago (pubblicizzato come piscina) non è stato di mio gradimento, bello da vedere ma non invitante per entrarci e rinfrescarsi. E' mancato il servizio di pulizie delle camere. Non è mai arrivata l'acqua calda nelle docce, quindi doccia fredda tutte le sere.

Un weekend rovinato da una festa di matrimonio nel giardino

L'agriturismo é molto bello, il verde é curato, gli animali sono ordinati e trattati bene, la vista dal giardino é fantastica.

Nella nostra camera l’aria condizionata era guasta. Non sarebbe stato un grosso problema e avrei preso la cosa con la giusta filosofia, se non ci fosse stato un banchetto di MATRIMONIO nel giardino, con tanto di band e karaoke: addormentarsi è stato impossibile a causa della musica dal vivo ad alto volume, e la mancanza dell’aria condizionata ci ha impedito perfino di chiudere le finestre. Un potenziale weekend rilassante immersi nella natura si è trasformato in una specie di incubo. Considerato il disagio e il costo non proprio contenuto della stanza, mi sarei aspettato almeno un piccolo gesto da parte della struttura, come uno sconto o almeno il non addebito dei gelati consumati il giorno prima. Niente di tutto ciò è avvenuto, anzi: neppure un semplice “scusate” per quanto accaduto.

Bijna in de wolken op het mooiste balkon.

We werden met open armen ontvangen, zelfs al was ons voorzien aankomstuur -door file- later dan verwacht. We hielden elkaar via Whatsapp op de hoogte, de uitbater is correct en goed bereikbaar. Ze boden ons een avondmaal aan hoewel het restaurant normaal niet geopend was. Het eten was vers, met lokale producten en erg lekker! Zowel het ontbijt als het avondmaal hebben we buiten genuttigd. Applaus voor het onderhoud van de tuin! Ook de dieren worden goed verzorgd, groenten uit eigen tuin, prachtige vijver met een adembenemend zicht! Met de auto op 6 min.van een mooi meertje, vlakbij supermarkten, dorpje, ... Blij dat we dit plekje ontdekt hebben!

Helaas geen airco op de airco. Door met open ramen te slapen, dus wat muggen 's nachts. Voor ons geen probleem maar er is geen lift aanwezig. De kamers zijn wel voorzien op mensen met een beperking. Wij genoten van het uitzicht en de omgeving dus hadden geen nood aan een TV die ontbrak.
