The people I met here, i.e.: other guests and neighbors, area residents and the family which owned and loved at the hotel were friendly and kind, and I enjoyed having the opportunity to meet you. It was and remains a true honor. Thank-you. I enjoyed the following.... The proximity to the creek and the forest. Family like atmosphere felt refreshing and comforting. The area's way and pace of life.

I am only writing this because the negative items detract from the wonderful things that I enjoyed about staying here such as the people I met and talked with, the quiet and peaceful surroundings and the enjoyable way of life. Stayed total of ten nights. The hotel owner charged me a higher price for the last five nights than the first five nights. Beds have footboards, which felt a bit cramped. Mattress springs press against the surface of the mattress. Wifi signal was consistently intermittent, and it was weak in most places in the property. Power to the building went out one night. Building is two floors. The floors and doors are made of wood, and thereby they creak and slam and are noisy when guests walk to their rooms at night. Lot of noticeable foot traffic downstairs around midnight and one AM. Balcony in the room was nice but considerable amount of gravel on the floor of the balcony, so every time when I walked inside from the balcony, gravel entered the bedroom. Bathrooms were not consistently clean. More than twice there was standing water on the floor or the toilet was I flushed. There was a mop bucket directly outside of the bathroom, so more than twice I used the mop to clean the floor before entering the bathroom. However, when the bathroom was clean, it was very clean. The hotel is run by a husband and wife who have two children. The hotel owners obviously work very hard helping guests and maintaining the grounds and taking care of their family. In the end, I felt like they just wanted my money, and for this reason I would not recommend staying here.
