Modern Home with Game Room in Encore

We have vacation in the Kissimmee area for the last 4 years and loved it. This house was close to everything. We were able to get to shopping, food and Disney in a matter of minutes. The house was very clean and beautiful just like the photos. Big plus was the kitchen was fully stock with every kitchen utensils you could possible need. The grandkids loved the pool and game room. We would definitely stay again.

Overall this was an amazing property and I'm giving it an overall rating of 4 - 4.5 stars! Here are my pros & cons for the property. Pros: Friendly neighborhood, clean space, nice size home for a large party, close proximity to Disney (approx. 10 min. drive), pool/hot tub area was nice, and the converted garage/game room as a huge hit with the kids, and excellent # of bathrooms for the size of my party (15 ppl). Cons: Not all of our bedding was clean, we actually washed the bedding 2 of the beds as they appeared to be dingy. The lack of basic cooking essentials (1 skillet to cook eggs, no salt & pepper or seasonings, no can opener), minimum # of towels for a large party (we washed towels every day to ensure we had clean towels) and even though I purchased the optional pool heater for the duration of our stay (5 nights & 6 days), the pool heater was removed 1 day prior to us checking out which didn't allow the kids to fully enjoy the pool on our last full day. Overall I would still recommend this property but are some things that can be approved upon.

Pictures do not do this house justice. Everything was pretty much perfect. There was more than enough space for our family of 9. Loved the big couch in the living room so we could all watch tv together at night. Table seated 12 I believe which was great so we could all sit together for dinner. Each room had more than enough room. Walmart and Public right up the road. Plenty of dishes and pots and pans and towels in the house. Would definitely stay here again.

I feel mixed in writing this review. I’ve rarely left less than 5 stars, but I do feel there are some critical missing elements to this property. The management company was very responsive to our issues, but some of our “issues” are more systemic and thus wanted to share here. The small things were that every time the dishwasher ran, the island lost power. And every time the stove or oven was turned on the outlets in the entire kitchen lost power. After finally getting to the root cause :), we found the fuse box and learned to triage ourselves. But the first couple of days…this was frustrating. Imagine, coffee in the floor of the foyer! While we are in the kitchen, it is not equipped. We stayed over Thanksgiving and are grateful we ordered a turkey to go. There was 1 wine glass, no baking sheets, limited utensils and serving, and no salt/pepper/etc. Overall, the kitchen was bare, especially for a house that sleeps 18 (we only had 8). There were limited towels and beach towels - enough for our group, but not if the house was full. We did laundry to have enough for the week! We did struggle with the pool, but it was made right. We enjoyed it immensely. The neighborhood is quite loud - there were people driving on lighted dune buggy’ish vehicles playing loud music well into 11/12:00 at night. Overall, this is a great bare bones place to sleep and hang out a bit after Disney. Just expect a very limited frills experience, and you are good!
