Everything to like.
Looks like some of the previous criticisms have been sorted. The non free parking is well telegraphed as it the required deposit.
There is a 24 hour reception and when we arrived at 1 am we were efficiency given the wifi and other instructions and was in the room under 10 minutes which is what you want.
The room was spacious, modern, clean and quiet with all the accessories and mod cons. Frig, comfy bed and pillows, good air con and shower. The neighborhood is safe.
It's on the edge of Al Balad (old town), just a 15 minute walk to Beit Nassif Museum, which is at the centre of Al Balad. There are 2 big supermarkets 15 minutes walk and plenty of restaurants.
Abdul, the day manager was very helpful and arranged for a taxi to the airport at 3 am (80 SAR, same as an Uber). Appreciated.
As good as it gets.

Everything is close by, which makes it easy to walk around and experience the historic area.
Unfortunately, the food was awful. It would be much better if the hotel improved the quality of the food or simply didn’t offer it at all.
