Unique and un touristic experience. Hospitality of hosts, beautiful unspoiled nature and tasty organic food.

15 stars! Natalja and Obren were warm and kind hosts; we were welcomed with beers and raspberry juice upon arrival. The views here are absolutely stunning and well highlighted by the dining room area. Hiking around the area and getting to interact with the animals on the Katun was an added perk! Dinner and breakfast were both delicious (extra thanks for the yummy dessert wafers!). The accommodations themselves are simple but comfortable. Thank you for your hospitality!
Nothing! Everything was amazing

I loved the scenery around, the peace and quiet and the starry sky in night was just mind-blowing! The hosts are amazing, I can´t even describe in words. I felt like on a holiday in a family :). I haven´t slept and rested so well in long time. I recommend picking a book with you, this is the best place to relax and think, and of course a warm clothing, so you can enjoy just starring at the night sky even when the evenings and nights get colder :) My only regret was my low (or none) knowledge of serbian, since I would love to be able to talk with the owners, they were truly extraordinary people. I really fell in love with Sinjajevina, and it will stay in my heart. I hope I will come back one day :)

Very friendly and welcoming owners, they showed us the way to get to the location (remote place in the middle of nowhere). Amazing food (home made food, very tasty). Very remote place, good if you want to be far from everything (no houses around). Due to the remote location, comfort is very basic, no running water, very basic shared sanitary block, limited electricity and very limited internet. Flashlight is needed to go to the toilet at night (there is light at the sanitary cabin itself but flashlight needed to reach it). Very friendly animals at the farm (cats, dog). Restaurant cabin is nice and was warmed by a wood fire.
Due to remote location, one should not expect the modern comfort. The sleeping cabin is small and modest and a bit humid (it rained when we were there). Also the sanitary block is very basic, just need to be aware of this. To reach the location, there is a gravel road with quite some stones, we have a normal robust Toyota car with a very good driver, but it was a bit challenging still, 4WD is probably recommended. In the future, there might a real road.

My partner and I loved the panorama and the landscape, the perfect place to enjoy silence and uncontaminated nature. The hosts were really friendly, we enjoyed the typical meals they prepared. Unfortunately, when we were there, it rained a lot but we could nonetheless enjoy the beauty of this small cosy place.
We found the place to be difficult to reach with our small car. We were suggested a better road through Krnja jela, rather than through Kolasin, which was a better path but still a 4x4 road. Along the road, there is no sign to Katun Kuline and there is no phone service, so we had a hard time communicating with the hosts for directions (although they tried their best to give us directions before the connection was lost).
On the mountains we opted for a horse ride with Katun's hosts, but the experience was unpleasant: no protections such as helmets were provided and the horses did not seem to want to be ridden. At one point we were told to hold the bridles ourselves (although we were explicitly unconfortable with that choice) and one of the horses became so agitated that my partner almost fell, but luckily he managed to jump off. This experience was worsened by the fact that the hosts do not speak English, so it was difficult to communicate with them in such circumstances. But it is worth to note that the hosts also tried their best to communicate with us at the Katun through google translate, making the best effort they could, and we were very greatful for this.

When I arrived very late in the evening, I was welcomed like I was family. Natalia, her husband and son are the kindest people I met on my trip hitch hiking from Croatia, Montenegro to Bosnia. They would everything to make you feel at home.
Things I loved the most were the local food made from and on the farm, even though I am veggie she made something else everyday and it was always delicious. Meals are 10€ and more than worth the money. Breakfast in included.
If you want some time for yourself, to have a taste from little farm life, to wander in the beautiful “planina” (mountains) or get lost in the many stars at night… I can only recommend this place by heart. It brought me back to myself, this place has a magical power to forget about your worries..
What I will remember most are the little wonderful conversations snd jokes I had with them without speaking a word of English, we got along very well and I was happy to help them a bit on the farm.
If you like simple living, back to the roots and the basics, GO THERE! You will not want to leave… and I defintely want to come back one good day.

If you want/need a place of breathtaking beauty and solitude, this is the place to go! The hosts are extremely friendly. There is great food, cozy beds, incredible starry nights and sweet dreams. The rooms are simple, the toilet is outdoor and you are washing your teeth outdoors, but all good!

It's on top of the hill. When you want to see the stars that's the place. No light smog and you're in the middle of nature.

Beautiful, quiet place with stunning views. You can taste (literally) local culture. Very helpful host and home like atmosphere. Highly recommended if you tired of same hotels and guest houses and want to try something genuine. On your way take road from Savnik side, if you prefer to avoid gravel roads.

Katun Kuline is fantastisch gelegen. Jong ondernemend gezin exploiteert.

Rekommenderar varmt boendet.
