The Independence Hotel

A great mixture of offerings.

Very restricted, when hotel is at capacity.

We didn't get to enjoy it, it stops at 10 a.m. - checkout at 11, etc... we are later risers.

Information in the room that explains everything, including how the heck to make the TV work/remote work. Either in writing or as a QR code. As well as wi-fi sign in info. You lost a review star due to time wasted trying to make the TV work. Also a hot tub system that includes being able to use it when your appointment comes up instead of being told that the people who are in the hot tub (too long) will have to be kicked out on your behalf. Not cool. The desk person was GREAT, it's a system failure of the hotel.

Great breakfast and staff was very friendly and accommodating

It was as pictured very cute rooms but not comfortable beds. Front desk staff was pleasant but not the breakfast staff.

We went down to breakfast with more than an hour left of the time and 90% of the food was out. Another guest asked about restocking and the breakfast staff seemed annoyed. There was literally empty cases and plates. I grabbed one of the two danishes left my husband grabbed a bagel but there was no cream cheese or anything for it. I took a bit and my husband pointed out hair on my danish which I instantly gagged and threw it away. We hung out hoping for the gravy to be restocked and it never was. Slowly one tray of fruit came out over 20 mins after being asked and then a try of meat and cheese another 10 mins later. So slow I left feeling like it would have been an amazing breakfast from the looks of what should have been then there instead still needing to go buy breakfast that I wasn't expecting to do. Very disappointed.
