Casa Magdalena Hotel Boutique

Es un lugar hermoso, lo recomiendo ampliamente. Lleno de paz, vegetación y por si fuera poco pet friendly. Las recámaras son super amplias, y nos dieron un desayuno en la terraza del mismo cuarto, fue espectacular. Muy consentidos.

tal vez su único incoveniente es que queda lejos del centro, pero en transporte llegas en menos de 20min.

El desayuno bien, la ubicación está perfecta, una vista muy agradable.

Rooms are very spacious with a nice traditional design. The fire place and the beautiful views over Morelia make it a very cozy place to spend an evening. There was a terrace attached to the room which was really nice to further enjoy the vistas. The bed was very comfortable.

Even if it is nice that the traditional design and character of the rooms is maintained, for the price and level of hotel one could expect some more maintenance (curtains were very dirty and should be replaced/cleaned, some cracks in walls, one window could not be fully closed) and some modern upgrades (electricity sockets and sink in bath room could be modernized for example). The hotel seems to host events regularly. Unfortunately we were not informed in advance that there was a wedding the same night as we were staying there. When we asked upon arrival we were told that it would finish at 20:00. However the party kept going and we were informed that it might continue until 23:00. This was not really acceptable for us as we needed to get a good rest that night. We were then promised a full refund. In the end the party finished earlier at a somewhat more acceptable time. As a result we mentioned at check-out that we would not expect a full refund but possibly a partial refund as we would have booked another place, had we known there would be loud music in the evening. The hotel promised to get back to us on this. Unfortunately we never heard anything from them after that which was disappointing. I would recommend for the hotel to inform any hotel guests about planned events so that everyone knows what to expect and can plan accordingly. Additionally, if promises of refunds are made, please make sure to follow up on it. Even if we are not too concerned about the refund at this point it just does not give a very honest impression otherwise.
