About this cottage rental
Tucked away in the rural village of Shellingford near Faringdon, Goodlake Barns is made up of five well equipped holiday cottages, sleeping up to 28 guests with an additional space, The Hub, which is an enclosed barn, complete with tables and chairs which enables you to all dine together or host a celebration. Each barn, accessible via a central courtyard, has a fully equipped kitchen, sitting room, Smart TVs and Wi-Fi. In front of the barns is a paddock, giving you and your guests plenty of outdoor space.

The maximum occupancy for this property is 28 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, the occupancy can only be exceeded by 7 additional infants (ages 2 or under)

Off street parking is available for up to 6 cars in the courtyard with additional overflow parking for 6-8 cars
3 travel cots and 3 highchairs are available on request (please bring your own linen for the travel cot, as this is not provided)

Please be aware that the property is located in a quiet and peaceful area, and we respectfully request that guests are mindful of neighbours at all times, especially when outside, noise and music need to be kept to a minimum beyond 10pm

Starter supply of wood provided for the wood burning stoves from October to April only

Please note that Goodlake is best suited to peaceful, family-style stays. Please take consideration whilst booking as the property is not appropriate for parties, hen or stag groups, or events of any kind

Goodlake Barns is an excellent venue for a large gathering. A lovely communal area to gather in. An excellent kitchen with plenty of utensils to cook in. A lovely large area where we all sat to eat, then moving into a large comfortable lounge for a social gathering. The individual barns were comfortable to sleep in. Also plenty of outside space to sit in when the sun came out. Highly recommend. It was a lovely gesture to put milk and biscuits in each barn. Also all barns were well equipped with cleaning materials.

We were a party of 25 adults and children and occupied every barn. The hub was brilliant in allowing us to all socialise together while having our own spaces too. The barns were clean and well equipped- milk , tea bags and even a cake were provided. The outside area was safe for the children to play. The facilities for a baby were great with plenty of high chairs and a travel cot provided. In summary we thoroughly recommend Goodlake barns - especially for a large group

We greatly enjoyed the facilities provided.
Points for improvement:-
- earlier check-in time. 1700 too late for families with young kids.
- recycling needs highlighting in guest information file. And recycling facilities need increasing and clearly marking.

This is the first time I have arranged self catering for the company's Leadership Team offsite. Feedback has been incredible. The location and setting of the barns / cottages is so peaceful. The layout and decor of the accommodation is also fabulous and we are already looking to plan our next stay and come back. We hired the whole property and there were 14 of us. Would thoroughly recommend Goodlake Barns - amazing stay - THANK YOU x
