Luxury Barreirinha House old town by Holiday Rental Madeira

Our family of seven stayed at this beautiful villa for a week for New Years and had a wonderful time! The villa is spacious (main house with four bedrooms plus two large suites across from pool area), large garage, well stocked kitchen, clean and in a great location with stunning views! We loved the multiple balconies and places to hangout including the pool overlooking the dramatic cliffs. Located in a cool neighborhood with its own cafes and restaurants but relatively easy walk (or Uber) to almost anywhere in Funchal. We couldn’t find many reviews before booking the villa but we were very happy with our choice. We hope to return and highly recommend this property!

The master bedroom and living room were quite dark compared to the lighting in other rooms so we moved a few lamps around. Maybe it was due to several floor lamps not working in those rooms. A few items may need to be replaced in the near future such as the dining room rug which gets a lot of use from the main patio area.

Probably the best villa in Madeira; excellent location close to city centre, amazing ocean views, very good level of refurbishment (villa has been fully restored/refurbished over the past few years), a lot of space across 4 floors (and also small garden / deck / pool area).

Villa itself has 4 bedrooms, and there are 2 extra single bedroom apartments that share the pool and street entrance with the main villa - it's not immediately obvious from the listing that those need to be booked separately.
