Greenfire Game Lodge

Everything about this lodge was excellent considering the price we paid, the food was lovely and the staff were attentive and very helpful, the views were amazing and we seen a lot of animals just from our room , which was also very good .A special mention goes to our safari guide Victor who made the holiday for us, we seen all the big 5 on numerous occasions.

Only minor downside is the wi-fi is not very good but this didn’t impact our stay

We had an amazing time here. The location is amazing looking over the riverbed seeing the animals come through. We saw elephants, buffalo & impala from our room. The lodges also have resident monkeys, impala, lizards & even a hyena (we christened Eddie). The staff a brilliant, very polite & attentive. The reserve itself is spectacular. Our driver was amazing. Victor made the experience so special. He was knowledgeable &. Dry personable & funny. He also seemed to know where the animals would be. We got to see lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, impala, kudus, hippos, crocodiles, warthogs, rhinos, buffaloes. Got to see lions & leopards on a nighttime hunt which was amazing. Could not recommend this place anymore. Thank you Victor Hakuna matata

Die Lage ist absolut sensationell: Hochgelegenen Empfangs-und Speiseraum hat man eine wunderschöne Aussicht über das Tal hinweg. Und in den kleinen Bungalows erlebt man das absolute Mittendrin-Gefühl direkt am Flussbett. Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig mit allem notwendigen ausgestattet und bieten durch die breite Glasfront einen ganz besonderen Charme. Highlight sind natürlich die Game Drives, direkt nach dem Lunch-Snack bzw. vor dem Frühstück. Hier wird alles getan, um den Wünschen der Gäste nachzukommen. Zum Abendessen sind die Tische sehr ansprechend eingedeckt und das Menu hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Auch das Frühstück bot ausreichend Auswahl, um gut gestärkt in den nächsten Tag starten zu können.

Der Wermutstropfen zur Lage ist ganz klar der 11km lange Weg über eine Schotterpiste bis zum Parkplatz. In Summe sieht man leider den Zahn der Zeit an der einen oder anderen Stelle der Gebäude. Speziell im Bad ist Oberflächenkorrosion bei den Armaturen eine leicht zu korrigierende Sache. In den Zimmern wären ein paar zusätzliche Ablagemöglichkeiten nett und der Teppichboden wirkt etwas altmodisch. Am seltsamsten fühlte sich das Fehlen eines echten Türriegels an.

Le cadre, le personnel, les chambres, l’organisation des safaris avec notre super guide Victor, les repas d’excellente qualité et le respect des demandes spécifiques en matière d’alimentation. Nous avons passé 3 jours hors du temps.
