About this house rental

Come relax in our Rustically decorated, open concept 3 bedroom 3 bath spacious Home with very comfortable furnishings. We are located at “Homes on Holiday” on Holiday drive right off I-35 between exits 31 and 32 in the middle of Wonderful Shopping, Great Restaurants, and very centrally located around lots of Wonderful Entertainment options. The Outdoorsman has a fully stocked kitchen with all the luxuries of home, beautiful wood vaulted ceiling with a Cozy Rock Fireplace to cuddle up in front of. We have smart TVs which is already logged into Netflix, cable Tv, and WiFi along with an extra long cord to connect directly to a laptop if you would like. Homes on Holiday has ample paved parking, and extended parking for boats or RV's and has a common area with picnic table, park style charcoal grill, sitting area and Wonderful Fire pit to enjoy at night. This is all situated on a beautifully landscaped property with Two Koi Ponds and two beautiful Waterfalls. The Outdoorsman has two king beds in two of the bedrooms and one Full and one Twin in the bunk room. The master does have a private bath and it’s own smart Tv as well.

Home needs a lot of repairs: front door , looks like someone kicked it in at one time. Carpet in bedrooms filthy and stained and mattresses needs to be replaced Plus side, plenty of hot water and water pressure

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in this home. We had everything we needed. Communication with the owner was excellent. My only slight complaint would be the location. Yes being right off the freeway is convenient but if you try to sit outside the noise is loud. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here and we will be back again.

We stayed overnight on our way home from vacationing in South Padre. What a beautiful house, and the most comfortable beds we've encountered in our many travels. It's so clean, everything you need (including coffee!) is right there, and tons of hot water. We all showered without running out. It's right off the highway, but far enough the noise is muted. Book here instead of a hotel; you'll be glad you did! P.S. Starbucks and Prairie Kitchen are super close for breakfast.

Booked this as a quick overnight stay while passing thru. Our only regret is not staying longer than one night. Beautiful house, not far off main road so super convenient. Great communication from the host. We all loved it. Definitely on our list to come back too, but for longer next time!!!!

We enjoyed being able to host a small family celebration. The location is near some great eateries and we especially enjoyed Prairie Kitchen for breakfast. It felt peaceful although there was Interstate traffic noise. We were happy there was a crock pot and a toaster which came in handy. It was a very pleasant stay overall. Thank you!

We stayed at the Outdoorsman and it was a real nice cozy cabin-style home. The location was a little odd (in between two car dealerships) but it was close to everything we needed. The place was clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend this to anyone.

My family and I rented an island cruiser from Lake Murray WaterSports. This house was a quick 10-15min from the lake right off the highway. I got an Vrbo msg giving me an access code the morning of check-in day. The owner actually stopped by when we were unloading and spoke with my sister. The place was clean and spacious enough for the 11 adults. I brought an air mattress but there was one in the closet as well. We all got cleaned up and grilled out and hung out outside for most of the evening. We did have to bring charcoal but that was it. Great place easy to find I would definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed our time at this house. The only issues I had were the listing showed 3 beds, but the 3rd bedroom had a bunk vs a queen as shown in the listing. Had I known we wouldn't have booked a hotel for our other 2 quests in our group and we could have all stayed together. While the location is very convenient the highway noise did disturb our sleep. Other than that, everything was wonderful. We really enjoyed the gas fireplace and Christmas decor. Felt like home away from home!

This little cabin was perfect! We will definitely stay again when in the area. It was very comfortable and relaxing. Plenty of room for the whole family. We loved the little koi pond and the privacy the deck had to offer from the surroundings. Ms. Sheryl was prompt at responding when we needed her or had any questions. Great communication!

Would stay here again without looking anywhere else. Yes, it’s between two car dealerships and it also serves a cozy homelike feel with koi ponds for the kids to climb around and enjoy the little things. Had plenty of outdoor space without the bugs and the comforts of plenty of nearby food and shops. Turner Falls has nothing nearby, this is pretty close to being there. To have another day exploration drive the opposite way to see the spectacular Lake Murray with its crystal clear waters. The host was outstanding with her communication and our needed request for a fan to sleep better.

Our host quickly responded to all our questions and was very accommodating to our family's needs. We really appreciated the home's fun "outdoorsman" theme and flexiblity to bring our pets. We will definitely be returning when we come back for another Lake Murray trip. 5 stars!

No waterfalls on this specific property that work anyway. In serious need of some maintenance and upkeep in ponds and updates.. like flooring, outdated loud washer, squeaky dryer. Property is sandwiched between two car dealerships whose lights never turn off. Awkward Parking... Highway within 150 ft, too loud due too little to no insulation to dampen sound. Pictures make it seem more Rural, didn't feel it was worth the money. And not hospitable when we arrived 28 minutes early.... After a 4 hr drive with kids and pets. Never got the email with entry code. Gas prices made the trip seem regretful and extremely expensive, hard to have much money left to have fun with.

Very accommodating for visiting time, several restaurants within walking distance (and we love to walk). Large table for game time. Kitchen well stocked with plenty of room. A small need and silly questions were each responded to quickly.
