Location was great, with views of Mount Kenya in the early morning. Good spot for a morning run to the Equator and back as well.

Privacy, location, clean, full basic equipped house, garden, nice shower/ spacious bathrooms, fire place, parking, caretaker was there to help and assist but also kept distance when not needed.

Absolutely no-go is the lighting inside......only bright (spot) white light in the ceiling. No other option. Not essential to survive but for me personal a 'thing' ;-)

I had taken a weekend break with my wife and two children aged 7 and 4 respectively. The property is exceptionally child-friendly, any includes recreational toys and facilities that kept our children well engaged. You can tell that a lot of thought went into this aspect, which is rare for such get-away facilities which tend to focus on adult occupants. The owner deserves to be lauded for this. Additionally, Paul, the Caretaker who looks after the unit we stayed in was very attentive from the moment we made our booking, kept track of us during our journey to Nanyuki from Nairobi, and was always available during our stay to attend to any need. Caretakers with his disposition are surely a rare find.

Apart from a few spiders appearing in the house which frightened our boys, but are understandably unavoidable considering the local environment, the only other concern was loud creak on one side of the bed in the master bedroom. It may need some maintenance repairs.
