Superb

Our stay in La Ciotat was wonderful, the host was super friendly and available for us. We had a very pleasant room with a nice terrace upstairs, amazing views. The bathroom was shared with the guests upstairs as indicated on the ad. There was a nice little pool that we could use as well.

The hosts has four small agitated dogs, that if you are not a dog person, it will probably bother a lot, but she can put them away upon request as well.

Homy stay at La Ciotat

Amazing place :) really confortable and well situated! Homy environment, welcomed by puppies :) It is at a calm setting but near by the train and bus station. Nathalie is such a nice host, she takes really good care of the place and considerate in every detail. Plus, the homemade breakfast was deli! I highly reccommend it :) :)

Superb

Nathalie’s homemade bread served at breakfast was delicious, the honey and fig bread was my favourite. Loved her friendly dogs. Very cute room with bathroom in beautiful garden overlooking La Ciotat. Warmly recommend. Note that her house is by the train station, 5 kilometres from the port area (a far walk) but there are buses all day.

A mistake from my side to book there.

Price

Maybe my opinion is not accurate, but it is fair. Very bad signalization to arrive, must go by car, narrow unmarked road, no bell or communication, either phone or shout. In my case, very unfriendly attitude from the lady in charge. No airco, no ventilator, it must be an oven in the summer. many mosquitos, and train noise close by. (not that bad) . No permanent electric socket free, I took out a lamp plug to charge my laptop. Good for people looking for very cheap lodging. Not me anymore.

Amazing! Nathalie is a great host and the breakfast and view was so lovely.

The property is super close to the train station and 1-2km from La Ciotat city centre. The view is stunning! We were said to have a ”garden view” but we could see the mountains and the city from outside our room. The breakfast was really nice and Nathalie is a great host. She even picked us kindly up from the train station with her car. She has five adorable dogs and a lot of turtles in the garden! I loved every minute here. And La Ciotat is a beautiful city with beautiful beaches and nature. I wish we would’ve stayed longer!

A mirrored door which I thought had a wardrobe behind it. It nearly fell over when I touched it. 17h is quite a late check in time.

Absolutely stunning place! The house is very cosy and so is the room where we slept in. Nathalie is an amazing host! She prepares breakfast for you every morning! Amazing, we will be back 🙂

I stood here for 4 nights in Dec 2022. Some points here: 1) I got the apartment with terrace in the upper level. The view from the terrace is amazing - see photos. Pity that I didn't have more time to stay there, and also the weather was not ideal, but that is expected in December. 2) The lady of the house is kind and communicative. 3) The bed is comfy, pillows and towels smelled nice, room was clean and tidy. 4) Mind that the path to the house is very narrow, with borrowed SUV car it was quite some adrenaline to go through, but manageable - at least some adventure at the end of each working day! :) 5) The garden is green, there are dogs and cats in the house. The cat was also coming to the terrace and wanted to go in, but was not annoying.

1) The breakfast is really basic one - the owner bakes different bread (and good one!) every morning, however with that there's just butter and 4 types of jams, and that's it. 2) There is no "private kitchen" as advertised - there is just one kitchen in the house, and the owner rather does everything there herself. So don't expect to do some bigger cooking there; however, when I came (twice) with pasta or frozen pizza, the owner made it for me. 3) For the two rooms in the upper floor, the bathroom and toilet is shared. This is as per description, so that alone is not a problem, however the doors/walls are not soud-proof at all, so when there are other guests, you can hear everything from the hall, bathroom and lavatory. If you are sensitive to noise (like I am) and don't want to be waken-up, earplugs might be good idea for the night.

Very good

the location was difficult to find. As we were only staying one night, we parked on the street. We took the steps up to the location. They were not the safest outdoor steps - very uneven and difficult to navigate. The hospitality was good and the breakfast was average.

Exceptional

It was a cozy room, with the door opening onto a typical Provencal garden. The breakfast was nice. We were sitting at a table with a beautiful view over La Ciotat and over the garden. One takes different wishes into account. (for example our plant-based lifestyle) The train station is around the corner.

Great find near La Ciotat

We loved it. We had the room with the terrace which offered amazing views. It was a little bit hard to find so make sure to agree to meet around the corner so you can actually find it. There is a restaurant down the road by the train station which served really good food and drinks. Also enjoyed la Ciotat!

The room and the situation of the house are beautiful. The wiev.

It took me 30 min from arrival to locate the exact place for the room/house. Google gives wrong position and I tried to ask in the neightbourhood but noone nows about Frarocka. A small signpost near a small port, found randomly, told me Frarocka is 160 m at that direction. Follow the sign I walked on a very small narrow road up the hill with several bends to finally get to the main gate. No sign here either. But a angry woman met me inside the gate and told me that I was 1,5 hour late. I had given an ETA of 1-2 pm to Booking, arrived 3 pm and had to search for another 30 min.... I didn´t feel like a guest in that moment...Another disappointing thing was the internet connection. Sooooo slow, I had to use my mobile network instead to be able to go online.

Superb view from my room, the rustic atmosphere and close to the station.

It's a bit hard to find as on a track that doubles back from the main road. It is quirky and basic so if you looking for 3 star comfort this is not for you.

Lovely room in big house close to the station

Conveniently located next to the station, the appartment has a beutiful view, in particular in the early morning. Having breakfast on the terrace was incroyable :) I felt home and Nathalie made sure everything was ready for me.

If you want to reach the see or the centre of the town you should walk a bit, like 20/30 minutes. There are two nice dogs in the house but if you are allergic you should consider this (I think they stay mostly in the ground floor or the garden).

A warm welcome and wonderful view

Comfortable bed, good night’s sleep, glorious view over the bay as we ate freshly baked brioche and homemade jam on the terrace next morning. A welcoming hostess too - thank you Nathalie.

Nothing - but I’d advise to call beforehand to find exactly where to find the last bit of road accessing the house.

Great place to stay in La Ciotat,located uphill with a superb seaview.Location is a typical french riviera house,a positive and relaxed vibe,the garden full of trees and flowers is nice and our host Nathalie was very friendly and helpful.To put it in few words,a five star location for a summer vacation in La Ciotat.

Very nice

Nathalie is a lovely host who is very helpful. Nice house with dogs, cats and even turtles in the garden! A little far away from the coast, but you can walk it in 30 minutes. However there's a bar/restaurant close by. The station is also a few minutes away, which may be useful for some visitors.

Not easy to find as Google doesn't show the exact location, but if you find the railway bridge, you are close by and can call!
