Everything. This is a true family owned gem. Each apartment is its own vibe. Amazingly cozy and Gator Mom does her best to make sure you have everything you need. And the beds are the most cozy beds ever!

Great end after a cruise of the Carribean

Committed and helpful host Lots of space in my room appartment. If I stayed longer I would have cooked in my kitchen and made more use of my two fridges Convenient for bars and restaurants (five-ten minute walk) Water within easy walk distance. Short Uber to a beach Nice pool for a refreshing dip.

Convenient and efficient for a short stay.

Living/dining room was a nice size, lots of towels for bathroom and kitchen use, king size bed very comfortable. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice.

The bedroom is very crowded with extra furniture, the wall between rooms was a glass door with a curtain over it and we were able to hear the neighbor's conversations clearly.

Location

The place was packed with furniture. Every square inch of floor had furniture. The main area had twice as many sofas necessary crowding the room. The dinette area was a sardine can of chairs and tables. The bedroom has so many damn chairs we had to move furniture to the closet so we could move around. It was insane how crowed the space was. Area rugs were placed on top of carpets. Why would so many throw rugs be placed over existing wall to wall carpet? Ironically, they had a sign “not to move furniture.” It’s apparent we were not the first having to move furniture so we could navigate the rooms. With so much furniture packed into every square foot of floor space I wonder how they vacuumed or cleaned the place.

It’s a great location, close to cruise port and airport. Shopping and grocery stores are within walking distance. The grounds are lovely with plants all around. The motel is old but they have gone a great job modernizing and updating the place.

A pleasant surprise !

Location and facility are excellent.

Getting in to the hotel was a challenge, After we got in and settled we saw the signs and figured things out. We're used to hotels where there's a desk and a person to get us settled. Next time we 'll know to call when our plane lands and to check our messages for door codes, etc.

Staying again overnight after our cruise would stay there again when in Fort Lauderdale

Close to airport, Wings restaurant is a few minutes walk away. Food was exceptional. The property has a courtyard which resembles European courtyards pool close to walking to a small mall, but the room was exceptionally good. A 20 minute walk to the intercontinental waterway to take the water taxi perfect location.

Relaxing solo trip

Everything! I like the retro feel of the building, the adorable courtyard, the bed was super comfy, and I got to meet the resident cat. I was also able to walk to and from the conference I was attending easily and safely. It's also less than 10 minutes from the airport. Excellent value for the money and wonderful hostess.

This was our second family vacation to the USA. It was our first time in Florida, and it certainly won't be our last. Fort Lauderdale is a wonderful, clean city. Our room was also very clean, with everything we needed for everyday life. We lacked nothing. The communication with the landlord was excellent. The hotel has a soul, you can see and feel it right away. It's not without reason that the sign at the entrance catches our eye: "Your home away from home." And it's true. The pool is clean, and the TV service is a big plus. I mean music and movies, which are a great option in case of a storm. I highly recommend it, and we will definitely be back.

Lovely little property in a residential area. Very quiet. The property is very quirky. If you are expecting a five star hotel this property isn’t for you. We loved the chilled out vibe and it had everything you could possibly need in the apartment for self catering. Lovely pool and surrounding area. Friendly helpful staff. The Bluebell was charming, comfortable, and great value.

The staff were extremely helpful. The room was comfortable and quiet. The location was convenient. The host thought of all the essentials. I didn’t need anything else. The stay was a very good value.

The only issue I had was with the Wi-Fi. It was slow and did not work all the time. I had to use my phone as a hot spot much of the time and found tv streaming spotty.

Grateful for the experience

It was a very peaceful environment from the time you entered the gate. All of the quite little areas to relax and enjoy nature. In the morning my husband and I would enjoy one area and in the evening another. The children enjoyed sitting at the picnic table to socialize with the other guest. Blue Bell the cat was always a pleasure to see meet and greet me in the morning, many times coming to relax nearby me. The special touches that were provided showed that much thought was given to make it feel like home.

I don't have anything that I don't like. Only thing I wish was had was the ability to do a bath versus a shower because having a disabled child as well as a shower bar for stability when getting in and out.

A quirky hotel, with a fun vibe. Rooms clean and the host was super responsive. Nice to have a swimming pool.

The rooms were only lit by table lamps without a main overhead light. I think it was to create an intimate feel. However several times I wanted to be able have a brighter light. Not a major problem.

Quirky and comfortable, family-owned gem

This is an awesome property with a fantastic host. We stayed 5 nights before our cruise and couldn't be more pleased with our find. It's near but not on a main road so we were able to easily walk to a few different restaurants and stores as well as bus stops for public transit. There is a stop for the water taxi at the end of the street (1 mile). The room was spacious and comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped and the whole place was very clean. Each of the rooms has a unique theme and is well thought out. This is a privately owned property; you aren't dealing with some corporate outfit interested only in maximizing profitability, you're dealing with an actual human being who cares about the property and their guests. The laundry is coin-operated and they ask that you leave it free between 11 and 4 so housekeeping can use the machines but it's super convenient having laundry facilities on-site. If we end up going back to Fort Lauderdale we will check availability at Blue Bell before even considering other accommodation options.

So much thought has clearly been put into this beautiful accommodation. The little touches that made it so special and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and just wished we had stayed longer.

The only small downside for us was the door on the bathroom which is cleverly hung to slide but didn’t feel it provided as much privacy as we would have liked as we were sleeping in the living room and had to use the bathroom attached to a bedroom we had other family in and there was a gap under the door that made it a little uncomfortable. Otherwise I literally could not fault the place

It was a cozy place and was quite comfortable. I wish I could have stayed longer!

I arrived late for check in close to midnight and I was able to go directly to my room and obtain a passcode ahead of time to quietly enter my room. It made my check in process easy and hassle free.

I loved everything. It was such a charming little place. I hope to rebook in the future.
