Lavender House

The location was wonderful. The house had everything that we needed except for the beds. The scene down into the valley and across the horizon towards the glass house mountains was magnificent. We had a couple of storms roll in and the magic was the clouds devouring us.

The beds were uncomfortable. They are not good enough for older people. A comfortable bed can make a difference if we decide to stay again.

Happy overall but disappointed about the awkward fire pit that a family could not use.

Location was nice and the house was fitted out appropriately for the number of people staying.

The house was very damp. The large room downstairs had condensation on the windows when we arrived and was very musty. Clothes got damp and cold just being in the room. Could open windows during the day which helped but we weren't home during the day. Insect screens were damaged and ill-fitting. There were no security grills so could not have windows open when we were out or at night. Air-con didn't help much, although turning on the electric blankets made the sheets feel less clammy. There were no insect screens on upstairs windows so rooms fillled with moths when the lights were on. The musty smell from downstairs was also noticeable upstairs. The house needs moisture extraction fans, particularly downstairs. The carpets also needed vacuuming.
