Rustic cabin near boating, fishing or hiking to the lake - dog-friendly

Door code didn't work, had to call Vacca, they gave us a different code, that one didn't work, then another code, it finally worked. Then when we came back, that code didnt' work, we had to call again going through identificaiton and spelling of my last name, etc. finally we got in. A bedroom lamp we discovered was smoldering, couldn't understand where smell was coming from. Took lamp and put it outside, called property mgr. to advise.

Pretty much everything.

I really haven't got anything to complain about.

The area is beautiful!! The cabin was absolutely amazing!!! I would definitely stay again!! The staff were very helpful and helped me with any issues I had.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like about this place.

Good location if you want to explore the Moosehead Lake area.

We didn't like Vacasa's management. They want you to download their app and they flood you with emails and texts. Check-in is after 4pm and check-out is before 10am. The instructions were super confusing and contradictory, you could tell they changed how to do certain things (like trash disposal and how to enter the cabin) and didn't bother to remove the previous instructions. They require you to do your dishes but they clearly didn't bother to check how well the previous guests completed that task, because every piece of kitchenware we took out of the cabinets was dirty. The floors are carpeted in the living room and the bedrooms have rugs, they were all very dirty looking. The back porch could also use a good cleaning. The cabin was at 89ºF when we got there - there is a thermostat and heating, but there is no AC. Maybe the cabin is comfortable in the Winter, but it was miserable when we went in August, even with the windows opened we couldn't sleep because of the heat.
