The room was spacious, bright, and featured a large window framing dramatic karst scenery. The private kayaking tour they organized through Lan Ha Bay was the highlight of our holiday—we paddled through secluded coves and visited floating fishing villages. Every morning, breakfast was served fresh on the outdoor patio with delicious fruit, eggs, and local coffee. The host also arranged our bus to Hanoi without any stress. Highly recommended!" Cat Ba Xanh exceeded all our expectations for a budget-friendly boutique hotel. The rooms are clean, well-ventilated, and equipped with efficient air conditioning, comfortable mattresses, and fresh linens. We enjoyed drinking morning tea on our balcony with views of the limestone karsts. Renting a motorbike directly at reception was effortless and cheap. The bikes were in top condition, making trips to Hospital Cave, Trung Trang Cave, and the beaches super convenient. The breakfast pancakes and noodle soup were fresh and filling. The host was always available with a warm smile and honest travel advice. A true 10/10 staay! The approach road is peaceful and residential with subdued night lighting, so having your phone light on when walking back late at night is helpful.

We had a delightful 3-night stay at Cat Ba Xanh. The property is family-run, and you can feel the warmth and care from the second you arrive. Our room was spotless, equipped with reliable Wi-Fi, a mini-fridge, and a private balcony overlooking limestone cliffs. On our second night, we asked for a home-cooked dinner, and the meal was spectacular! Fresh local seafood, stir-fried vegetables, and crispy spring rolls cooked with so much love. The host also provided a great scooter for exploring Cat Ba National Park and Cannon Fort, giving us clear directions and safety advice. The kindness of the team made our trip unforgettable. Being in a lush natural environment, remember to keep your balcony screen closed in the evening so insects are not drawn inside by the room lights.

We had an absolute blast staying at Cat Ba Xanh Spring Garden Hotel. The hotel is located about a 5-minute walk from the local market and around 10 to 15 minutes from the central square, making it central enough for convenience while remaining peaceful and quiet at night. Our room was very spacious, bright, and spotlessly clean. The beds were large, firm, and comfortable, ensuring great sleep. The bathroom was modern with good toiletries, and the hot water was consistent. We also loved having a mini-fridge in the room for cold drinks. Manager Linda is a true superstar! She speaks fluent English and assisted us with every aspect of our itinerary: arranging laundry within hours, booking motorbikes, and reserving a spectacular small-boat cruise through Lan Ha Bay that visited floating fishing villages and secluded lagoons. The on-site restaurant serves delicious meals—we especially loved the fresh squid and crab dishes. The breakfast buffet each morning was fresh, filling, and included great coffee. The rooftop bar with mountain views was the perfect cherry on top. A 10/10 stay! The TV programs had occasional signal drops during our stay, but with such incredible views from the rooftop garden and plenty of outdoor adventures, we barely turned it on anyway.
