This cabin is perfect for groups, families, wedding parties, scouts, clubs looking for lots of bedroom space and baths at an economy price. large double deck & big living areas as well as basement with 2 pool tables.
Poplar Place is a large duplex unit. Perfect for family reunions, weddings, and other large gatherings (up to 16)
Located in Slade, between the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park, it features 8 private bedrooms with queen beds, 4 full baths and 2 half baths, and is divided into two separate living areas (like a huge duplex) that can be rented as two smaller, separate cabins: Totally Cozy and Bearly Irresistible.
Each side has an open living area with gas fireplace, furnished kitchen with dining area on the main floor, both Bearly Irresistible and Totally cozy have a pool table in the downstairs areas. Two covered porches with a gas grill on each, swings, picnic tables/chairs can be combined as one huge area or divided by a sliding partition for privacy – great for get-togethers and enjoying the outdoors.
The master bedroom is on the main floor, two private bedrooms are on the third level, and one private bedroom is in the basement off the game room. Jacuzzi's in master baths. Kitchen's in this unit are small, but living room and dining room are ample. Decks are undercover as it is designed to enjoy the outdoors.There is one Fire pit outside and is a favorite of large groups. SAT TV/DVD. Central HVAC. For guests who don’t want to climb stairs – the master bedroom, Jacuzzi, living room, kitchen, and porch with picnic table and grill are all on the main floor!

The location is great for access to the Red River Gorge. However, we a toilet leak onto one of the beds from a bad wax seal, there were nails sticking up out of floor and steps, many burned out or missing light bulbs and most of the ceiling fans wobbled and made lots of noise. The owner did get a plumber out to fix the toilet the next day, but no one wanted to sleep in a bed that had toilet water leaking on it, and there was no offer for a reimbursement. The kitchens are well appointed, the linens and towels are plentiful and over all our large group had a good time.

The 8 individual bedrooms was a good set-up for our hiking group (no one had to share a room). Kitchen was a bit small with limited pots and pans, but it was nice to get everyone under one roof. We would come back.

Trouble locating property as property markers were dark on dark and did not stand out, plus listing shows front of property and entrance is from the back of property that shares a driveway with adjacent property owner…crowded parking for 5 vehicles. The “Poplar Place” is very nice for large parties…hot tubs did not work…may have a leak from Bearly Irresistible main level bath to basement. Regardless, good time was had by all. Thank you!
