About this cabin rental
Hi - Thanks for your interest in our place. We purchased this cabin to explore the many adventures that nature and the Shenandoah region have to offer. The cabin is perched up on a hill to provide beautiful mountain views of Shenandoah National Park right from the deck. In the evening, starry night skies become your canopy as you relax around the firepit with family and friends.
Shenandoah River Outfitters, Bealers Ferry Fishing Pond, and public river access at Bealers Ferry Boat Launch are all within a mile of the property as well as the George Washington National Forest which the property adjoins. Downtown Luray is just 15 minutes away where you will find Luray Caverns, cold beverages at Hawksbill Brewing Company, and many other shops, restaurants, and attractions. River Hill Distillery, Wisteria Farm and Vineyard, and Castle Vineyards are a short drive away as is golfing, horseback riding, museums, and hiking galore. Thornton Gap Entrance of Shenandoah National Park is just 19 miles away, but you can always enjoy a view of the park right from the deck of the cabin. If you are looking to stay connected, we've got wireless internet, smart TVs for streaming, and hundreds of DVDs to enjoy. Come stay at our place, and we think you'll agree Its Owl Good.

Please be advised you have rented a mountainous property. AWD or 4X4 is recommended. The main and secondary roads are usually paved. However, there are many side roads that are gravel or hard packed dirt surfaces. You may experience potholes, ruts, steep inclines, and rough terrain. Most front wheel drive vehicles have no trouble accessing the property from these roads if you drive safely and slowly. We do not recommend low profile vehicles such as sports cars or motorcycles. During inclement weather such as snow or ice you may be required to have 4-wheel drive or tire chains. We also recommend Travel Insurance during winter months. We do not give refunds for road conditions that are out of our control.

This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $2500 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). The optional damage waiver is $59 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.

Perfect little cabin with lots of charm and beautiful views! Stayed just a couple days but it was perfect. Perfect little size for my husband and daughter. Got some snow which was fun! You won’t want to miss the sunrise from the front porch! Loved all the owls too!

The view at this property did not disappoint! What you see on the listing is for sure what you get! Cute and comfy cabin with a whimsical owl theme. Great dvd selection for the evening or a rainy day. Lovely fireplace to cozy up at. The fire pit area is nice, but make sure to bring your own wood. Neighbors play their music a lot of the day, so if you also play music, it shouldn’t be a problem for you. We didn’t mind at all, but we also listen to music most of the time we’re there. If you have a car that is not 4 wheel drive, take the second entrance to Grand View which is only about 0.3 from the first entrance. Lots of nearby things to do! Be sure to check out the state parks as they are definitely the hidden gems of the area. Kitchen is well stocked, but doesn’t hurt to bring some of your own pans for cooking. Luray has lots of fun little places for shopping, adult beverages and food. We tried out Watch and Warrant and that was delicious! Loved the scenic drive in and out of the community. Definitely would come back!! Great value for the price per night!

Property is located in a fantastic spot, is bigger than it appears in the photos, has an even better stocked kitchen than was expected, and is very comfortable. 10/10 would stay again and recommend to a friend. Just be prepared to do some dishes before you use them, as the dishes are cleaned by previous guests (some not so well)

My wife and her sister stayed at "It's Owl Good" for their Sister Trip to Luray and could not have been happier. The view from the deck and main living area absolutely took their breath away! They spent each night of their stay relaxing and enjoying the serenity of this wonderful cabin that was just the right size for the two of them. Located just a few minutes from downtown Luray allowed easy access to restaurants, shopping, and the beautiful Hawksbill Greenway. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary supplies to cook themselves some great meals to enjoy on the deck together. Thank you for sharing your cabin and spectacular view with us.
