Il Casone

Spacious and charming flat in lovely town of Montisi. Great value for a two bedroom apartment with huge dining area, updated bath and large kitchen. Great views of the surroundings due to its location at the top of the hill.

There is no parking or luggage drop off in front of the hotel due to its location on tiny streets and the top of the hill. Proprietor did meet us at the nearby parking area and assisted us in getting our luggage into our rooms. Due to its location, one needs to be in reasonably good condition to go up and down steep steps snd hills but it’s worth it once you are inside. No air conditioning and it was a hot week. Luckily Montisi is at elevation on gets evening breezes.

We loved the view from the apartment and the charms of the tiny village. The apartment is really spacious, comfortable and has a real Tuscan character. The decoration and old fashioned furniture makes the stay even more charming. The property was spotless and well equipped. What you need to know is that there are only 2 tiny restaurants in town and they close very early or can be closed if not enough people, and no supermarket or convinience store. If you are planning to arrive in the evening be prepared and bring some food with you. It would have been nice to have at least 2 bottles of water in the fridge when we arrived. Well located, many windows, and the best view in town.!!! 2nd floor without elevator. No AC but you really don’t need it because Montisi is 450 above sea and it really cools down during the night. You can visit other medieval villages in Tuscany from there. We had a wonderful time at Il Casone and we will come back for sure.

I would suggest to have the basics like 2 water bottles, shampoo, etc
