Antheon - Three Bedroom Villa with Private Pool

Lovely villa with brilliant views and good facilities and an amazing pool! Enjoyed our stay. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Had all good facilities including washing machine, iron, coffee maker and working kitchen. Hosts were lovely too!

Air condition only works when doors are all shut. So it was a bit awkward to go in and out of the room while indoors and the aircon would go off and then take time to start again and it would be hot before you know! Not sure if it is economical as the aircon possibly take longer to cool the room up again but understand the thinking behind it to avoid wasting energy. The very short road to the villa is a bit bad but manageable.

Wauw, wat een geweldig huis! En dan dat uitzicht. Van alle gemakken voorzien. Een prachtig groot zwembad, vaatwasser, wasmachine, airco. Meerdere zitjes: naast het huis, bij het zwembad 6 ligbedden en voor het huis. Een gevulde koelkast met plaatselijke (zelf verbouwde) producten, waaronder vers fruit, groenten en waterflessen. In het huis is ook beschikking over wasmiddel, vaatwastabletten, wasknijpers om de was op te hangen, wcpapier. Kortom, je pakt op niets mis. Op 15 min van het bruisende Rethymno. Deze afstand is prima te doen. Een supermarkt op 8 minuten rijafstand. Een genot om hier 10 dagen te hebben mogen verblijven. De eigenaars zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en erg behulpzaam. Zelfs toen we, door onze eigen stomme fout, onszelf buitengesloten hadden. Dit werd door hen vlot opgelost.

De matrassen waren ons iets te hard. Maar dat is persoonlijke voorkeur.

The privacy, the pool and the absolutely spectacular views. The villa has everything you could possibly need and Chrysa the host is always available to help with any advice or issues.

The villa is *very* remote and some of the roads are dicey at best. That being said the road that takes you from the villa through Kastellos towards Rethimno is fine and I recommend you use that for all destinations where possible!

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming villa. It’s quite secluded and feels very private yet it’s only 20 minutes drive to Rethimno or the nearest beach. The garden is beautiful and is clearly the result of many years of love and care. The pool is a good size and was always clean, and there’s plenty of shade outdoors if that’s what you prefer. The villa is well equipped and felt nice and spacious. Fast WiFi kept the kids happy! The owner cleaned the pool every morning and would also clean the BBQ from the night before which was not expected but was actually a really nice gesture.

There’s nothing we didn’t like. Some people may prefer being closer to the beaches but we enjoyed being a bit further away.
