Lovely Stay at Boutique Hotel in Basel

The hotel is conveniently located between the train station and city center. The room was clean, spacious, and had nice amenities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The gentleman who checked me in provided good recommendations for restaurants nearby and how to best get to the center of town (a 10-15 minute walk). It was also nice to receive a Basel card that allowed for free public transport and discounts for some local attractions.

The location worked well for us and the staff were very friendly polite and overall excellent, especially the young gentleman and young girl at breakfast they were so helpful and friendly

I can't say i didn't like anything, the only thing I'd say is that our family room was a little small for space and could have done with being a bigger room for three people

It was quite strange that the sink and sink stuffs were located in the BEDROOM!!!! While the bathroom only had the shower and toilet. This setup was inconvenient and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, there was no power outlet next to the bed or the bedside table. There was only one outlet in the far corner of the room, so When my alarm went off in the morning, I had to walk across the room to reach my phone. The room was very dark with weak light bulbs, so even with the lights on it remained dim. It was also cold….I tried turn on the heating, but Nothing happened.

Very friendly staff, room got everything I needed. Bonus points for free fresh lemonade and apples in the lobby. Short walking distance from the river and the old town.

Clean, friendly welcoming staff, food at breakfast good with nice selection, sweets on reception and apples and water to enjoy, showers fabulous, modern feel to hotel. Close to tram and bus for city centre access.

No air conditioning, lacking bedding - 1 thin sheet in Room 203 which didn’t even cover end of bed! No additional pillows, Very expensive for what we received. Not worth the money.

The place is good but cannot be objective given the unpleasant experience at checkout

Service was not great. Receptionist was rude while running out of the hotel after my daughter who was loading the luggage into our transportation while I was still in tge room. Shouting and whistling after her on tge street is not acceptable especially that I communicated with him that I will be coming and checking out at 11:00..

Very friendly staff, clean room, good breakfast (highly enjoyable in the outdoor sitting area), perfect location next to the river and within a few min walk from the German train station. Very quiet (my room was facing the backside).

Room was small and could have used a few hooks for hanging clothes. Very hot in the summer heat (but seems to be normal in Basel)

Positive Experience

The location was quite good—just a 5-minute ride to the city center with tram number 14. Receiving the Basel Card was a great perk, allowing me to use public transportation for free. The receptionist was very friendly and pleasant to talk to, and they gave me helpful information about the city. The room was nicely designed and exceptionally clean. Overall, a very positive experience.

On the downside, the room was a bit dark, and the bunk-like structure above the bed felt a little odd. It slightly affected the overall comfort of the space.

A great stay

A big room, great location. Strong wifi, great english channels on the TV. Staff were so nice and welcoming.

Only thing I could fault was there was no a/c but we did have a big fan which helped!

Located opposite the Messe, and the tram station. Easy to walk distance to the city center and the Rhine, too. Recently renovated facilities with a modern and chic design.
