After a day of exploring, we found some lovely local pubs and beer gardens nearby to unwind.

We had a truly delightful stay at the Old School House in Kinross. The accommodation was spotless, tastefully decorated, and full of character; blending old-world charm with modern comforts. Everything was well thought out, from the cosy furnishings to the clear and helpful instructions provided by the host, making check-in and day-to-day logistics a breeze. The location is perfect: tucked away in a peaceful spot yet just a short stroll from the stunning Loch Leven. We enjoyed picturesque walks around the loch, where we spotted deer and even a few red squirrels darting through the trees. It’s a haven for nature lovers and dog owners too, as the property is wonderfully dog-friendly.

There is really only the tiniest comment and even then, this wasn't a problem for us at all, we just used plastic bags in the doorway. We thought it could be made slightly better if there were somewhere for muddy boots that was undercover to keep them dry, or simply take plastic bags with you to put over the top of them so they do not get wet on the boot rack.

Really enjoyed our stay at the old school house, definitely go back

Lovely quirky home in a fantastic location with great parking and a real quality feel from the fixtures and fittings. The property was spotlessly clean throughout. Great communication from the host Elaine and a great information folder with recommendations of places to visit and where to eat and drink.

Excellent property could not fault.

The communication was superb. Everything was covered, including the amenities in the surrounding area. The building and garden are immaculate. I have mobility problems, don’t use a wheelchair. However the complete property is geared for every kind of guest. There is something interesting to see everywhere in the property. Would definitely return.

A wonderful short break here. What a comfortable, cosy, beautifully decorated little house. Evidence of the old Schoolhouse from the large windows which made the rooms light and bright. Kitchen, bedrooms, living room - absolute perfection. Great enclosed garden area. Our Jack Russell enjoyed exploring. Hopefully we will return one day.

Lovely conversion. High windows let in lots of light and give you privacy. Great location for getting out and about to explore Scotland. Good size garden space.shops are close by for essentials. Host provided lots of helpful information ahead of our stay.

Only negative was no electric car charging. Oh and no plastic recycling but that is the local council not the owner.

What a great property! Ideal location. Kinross is a nice small town, with lots of amenities in walking distance. And location near the motorway so a short drive to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, St Andrews and beyond. Place is super cute, perfect for 4 people. Had everything- fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds. Living room with TV. Nice garden, although it was cold and icy when I stayed so I did not get a chance to use it. Elaine was very responsive and helpful. Loved staying there, and will definitely be back.

Lovely warm welcoming home

The property is beautiful and has been well looked after and was lovely and clean. Little touches like fresh flowers, hot cross buns and tablet being left was just lovely and was a nice little treat for us. The owner Elaine was wonderful and had great communication. Would recommend staying and would love to stay again!

Beautiful holiday home

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautifully decorated holiday home. Great location in Kinross for exploring. The beds were very comfortable and the house was spotlessly clean. There were toys left for our little girl to play with. Owners very hospitable and provided information on local attractions and amenities. Would definately stay here again.

the internet is very poor - used mobile data the whole time which wasn’t great for the kiddies especially but the weather was lovely so spent most of our time outdoors anyway

Everything about the house, stunning decor, exceptionally clean & great location, for St Andrews, Dunfermline, Perth etc... Many thanks again to Elaine for contacting us during our stay to make sure everything was ok for us. Also for her lovely welcome pack of Borders cookies 🍪 and tablet 😋 they went down a treat with a nice cuppa on our arrival. Not forgetting the georgous carnations. Sooo thoughtful would thoroughly recommend this house to anyone wishing to visit Kinross and surrounding areas in the future. 😊

Getaway

How clean,comfortable and well equipped holiday home. Owner was brilliant from start to finish. The location of property is spot on with lots of places to visit by car. Loch leven heritage walk is great for all the family on a lovely day, loch leven brewery pub only 2 minutes walk away. Would definitely recommend property and hope to book again in near future.

Prachtige woning, zeer stijlvolle smaakvolle gezellige inrichting. In het echt is de woning nog mooier dan op de foto. De prachtig hoge plafonds en grote raampartijen zijn op foto niet te zien, dus in het echt nog mooier. Schoon huis. Goede bedden, fijne badkamer. Keuken alles aanwezig. Mooie omheinde tuin met comfortabele meubels. Op loopafstand van restaurants. Goede communicatie met verhuurder. Sleuteloverdracht ging makkelijk. Goede WiFi. Wij raden dit huis aan om te boeken voor een gegarandeerd prettig comfortabel verblijf.
