Cradle forest inn

Lovely hosts. Amazing location. Cabins were homey, cosy, warm, and comfortable. Beds come with blanket heaters, and each room also had an electric fire place as well as an electric heater. Parking is easy and spacious. The surrounding areas are beautiful and peaceful! You’re away from all the traffic and can enjoy the ambient sounds of nature.

The location is far from restaurants or any town, meaning food options are quite limited. The cafe is lovely, with friendly staff and good quality food. However, I ordered ahead with the food offerings that the hosts provide. Although they mean well, the food was extremely bland. Chilli con carne had no spice to it, and the butter chicken didn’t have any resemblance of a curry flavour. Maybe because they were prepped and then frozen and then reheating it took away some moisture and flavour? Either way, this only downside should not take away from the many incredible things that this place has to offer!

Gorgeous Cabin

Bed is comfy, spa and room was clean and the staff from the cafe are amazing and friendly.

Only approx 25 minute drive from Cradle Mountain on the main road allowing for easy access.Bush setting with lots of pademelons. Comfortable bed and heating. Communal bbq area with wifi access. There is a cafe across the road however we didn’t get to visit it. From here we visited King Solomons cave, Sheffield (for honey) and Deloraine.

Outside verandas full of cobwebs and dust. Basic kitchen with missmatched glasses and cutlery. The freezer section of our small fridge did not freeze therefore we were unable to freeze our ice bricks for transporting food to our next destination. We were aware only a microwave, toaster and kettle but would have appreciated even an electric frypan. Cold floors in the bathroom. We also accepted only wifi in the communal bbq area however it made communication and planning more difficult.
