Maria wow what a host. She is like the best, a little quirky but that adds to her charm. You had better be hungry for her amazing breakfast it just keeps coming. The property is spotlessly clean a little eccentric maybe and possibly not too everyone’s taste but that’s the way Maria looks at life. Maria does the housekeeping every day even when it doesn’t really need it. She really goes above and beyond to make your stay special and very memorable. Although she doesn’t speak English we managed to communicate through gestures and the help of translation on my phone with many a laugh along the way. The apartment is only a miles walk 20 minutes from the entrance into Pompeii and 5 minutes from a large shopping mall with cinema and food outlets that stay open late. 100 meters away is a supermarket and a pizza place over the road. Parking is available on the street outside and we had no trouble finding a parking spot. Thank you Maria you really are one beautiful lady and one in a million you made our stay something special and very enjoyable.

The only thing I didn’t like was the fact we didn’t stay long enough and had to leave.

B&B Oplonti is a self-contained apartment in a small town and has absolutely everything you need for a pleasant stay. Mrs Maria runs the B&B with all her heart and makes you feel right at home in a place you’ve never been before. The apartment is clean and spacious. The breakfast is very generous and well-prepared, with a different selection every day. Food intolerances are taken into account. Mrs Maria brings breakfast at the time of your choosing. After breakfast, you can start the day full of energy and head out to explore. The Pompeii Archaeological Park is 1.6 km away (a 20-minute walk), the Roman Villa Poppaea (Oplontis) is 1.7 km away, and Villa Regina (Boscoreale), a Roman wine estate, is 1.5 km away. Torre Annunziata Centrale railway station (Trenitalia line) is a 5-minute walk away and has good connections to Naples (30 mins). Villa Regina railway station (EAV Circumvesuviana line) is 1.2 km away and has good connections to Naples (30–40 mins), Pompeii (5 mins) Stabia (20 mins) and Sorrento. To reach the Ercolano Archaeological Park, take the train to Ercolano Scavi station. On the same line is Torre Annunziata station (1.9 km), which also has a direct connection to Salerno. Tickets are available from ticket machines (select language) and at the staffed ticket office.
