Peccato la mancanza del bagno direttamente in camera ma nella porta di fronte la camera che però è adiacente all’altra camera del b&b.
Divieto di usare la cucina se non per la macchinetta del caffè può essere limitante per più giorni di soggiorno.

Excellent location on a quiet street not too far from the center, easy to find with clear instructions from the host. Whimsical style, like staying at someone’s grandma’s place. Nice terrace that would be perfect in warmer weather, and effective indoor heating for cold weather. Great for cyclists!
It would be nice to be able to use the kitchen or to have at least an electric kettle in the room.

The option of booking two different rooms on the same floor was convenient. Both rooms were big. The location is easily accessible by car with parking right outside, and it is within walking distance of the harbour. There are a few places to eat nearby, including a very good pizzeria less than 5min walking away. The check-in/check-out was smooth, with code-based lockboxes for keys outside the house. The outside of the house was very pretty. The host contacts you on WhatsApp. This is not necessarily a good thing, but it is common in Italy and does help with quick communication when needed.
The cleaning was not optimal. The bathrooms in both rooms were not very clean, had stains, and some of the metal parts were rusty. The curtains were a little too dusty, and the walls had a few humidity stains (particularly in one of the rooms) that looked mouldy.
The beds were not particularly comfortable, leading to some back pain in the morning. One of the rooms had an additional blanket in the closet; the other did not. The blanket was needed because it was cold those days, and the initial blankets were not enough. The room could be warmed up with an air conditioner, but it was quite noisy, and it is not great to sleep with very dry air if you have to keep it on at night. Turning it on before going to sleep was not an option either, because the window frames were not great, and the room was cooling down again pretty quickly.
The rooms have two small fridges: the compressors started making a lot of noise out of nowhere in the middle of the night, waking us up.
The instructions about the kitchen were fairly unclear. The host says that you cannot use the kitchen (this was communicated in Italian, and we are both Italians, so it was not a language barrier issue), but my guess is that they mean you cannot use the stove...? I asked if there was a kettle for tea (there is a coffee machine available), and I was told it was in the kitchen drawers. There was no kettle in the drawers.
I struggle to understand why the reviews are so high, but it might be because we were there off-season.
