Villa Manik

It was a beautiful little villa right in the centre of Canggu’s business.

Some of the facilities could improve (showers to note) but overall a really amazing place.

Ayu was lovely and helpful, the high roof of this villa is stunning. The open living is great and looks onto a beautiful pool and garden. Location is quite good with many warungs, pharmacies, massage places and mini marts within walking distance. We had a late flight and a late checkout was granted at half price which was very helpful for us.

The view is now a multi story hotel complex across the gang, not the villas fault but it does take away from the peaceful and private vibe it would otherwise have.

The location, the swimming pool and Ketut the housekeeper were excellent.

The first night we were there we had no electricity or water, couldn’t shower and there was no air con or wifi. When we told the villa management the next day we hadn’t had any water or electricity it took almost 4 hours for someone to come and check it out. We had a wedding that day and couldn’t shower or get ready so we had to go to our friends villa up the road. Erik? The owner called and was quite rude and obnoxious towards us - very aggressive towards us as we had problems. Pretty much just said “it’s Bali this happens”. Our third night there the air con died and had leaked all over our suitcase and belongings, there was 4 of us (3 adults and a child) crammed into one bedroom as the air con wasn’t functioning and it was a hot night. When I had mentioned something to the villa management we hardly got an apology and someone came and fixed it. We were then faced with the tv not working in one of the bedrooms. It was issue after issue and it felt like it Sinta the management wasn’t very apologetic for the issues we were faced with. It put a damper on our trip and it was quite disappointing. They had taken $100 off the first nights accommodation but there was no further compensation (a proper formal apology would of sufficed). I was really disappointed as I had googled the property prior to my arrival and was confident I had made a good choice in accommodation for our Bali holiday.
