Felt more like a homestay than a hostel, I believe there are only two rooms. Great volcano views from the balcony and nice hammock! The family runs a mini market downstairs and it was a short easy walk from Moyogalpa ferry port. There’s an ATM on the main street, payment was cash only.

Personally found the mattress quite uncomfortable and woke up with neck pain. The bathroom was strange (no door, only a curtain straight into the shower stall). Not the hostel’s fault but be aware there are frequent power and water outages in Moyagalpa.

Good location, friendly host/staff

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this place, even though the host was friendly. 1. There was no running water the entire night I arrived, so I couldn’t wash up and had to flush the toilet using water from a bucket. The host said it was probably due to a broken pipe, but if you read previous reviews you’ll see this has been an ongoing issue for years. The next morning, there was water for a few hours before it went out again, so it really just depends on luck. 2. The room and washroom also didn’t feel very clean, and washroom was very small. 3. Slow wifi
