House was nice and owners very helpful.
The location. Driving through narrow country lanes after dark was a challenge. Too far from centre of Barnstaple. Apart from field at back of property walking the dog was quite restrictive.
We were were not here very much during the day as we were visiting our sister-in-law who was in hospital and to help our brother. So not here on holiday.

My needs were functional - I had a close relative in Barnstaple hospital, but I also needed to work online during the day. The Shippon has turned out to be my perfect home from home - so much so that I extended my original 5 nights to be 2 weeks. The hosts, without being intrusive made sure that I knew they were there should I need anything. I can’t rate The Shippon or the hosts highly enough. Thank you

Lovely cosy farmhouse, well set up for dogs - we used the back entrance which made it perfect for wet dogs. Great back garden.
