Bed & Breakfast Pax Tibi

Such a lovely welcome and homely place to be in. Breakfast was great. Great location for exploring the whole area - and we especially appreciated being able to hire bikes there inexpensively!

Black out blinds would have been lovely, in an otherwise comfortable room!

We loved the location, our rooms and the breakfast were absolutely fabulous and so well presented. Everything is nice and clean. There is all around the garden places to sit and relax.

Everything! Lovely, clean, peaceful setting in countryside about 3 miles from Gouda Centrum. The breakfast is delicious and the Hostess is welcoming and helpful with trip suggestions and sharing of the history of the area

Everything is wonderful

Very warm welcoming, excellent room with great views on the water, exceptionally clean with all necessary amenities, quiet and very cosy, perfect breakfast on time. Great experience in all 3 days, fully enjoyed our stay.

Very clean room. Delicious breakfast. Lovely hospitality (apart from check-in incident). There are some cute animals there. Parking is free. Reasonable price. Clean towels.

No clear sign for reception area. I came in and the host seemed surprised that i came in, said that i came to her own home. I thought this was a hotel, and the sign was not that clear at all. Host told me its rude to come inside people's houses, but thing is; i came to a hotel, as a paying customer, looking to check in after a very long flight, so why would i come into a house in a village/town that is surrounded by nature and other houses? (Nearest supermarket was 10 minutes by car). Anyways, i apologized when i didnt even need to apologize, but i wanted to calm the host down. Later, she never apologized to me for her reaction, and never apologized for lack of proper signs. Check in was 4 pm, i came almost 3:45 i think, and i was told that i am very early. I think i was supposed to stay in the street for 15 minutes, come on, hospitality can be improved here, you dont say that to a customer coming from the airport, especially when the hotel is not full and room is ready anyways! Although the host was very nice afterwards and gave me some lovely stroopwaffeles during check out, but that check in incident truly made me hate my stay in Netherlands. Mind you, this was my 1st hotel experience which lasted 3 days, and as of now i completed almost 3 weeks in this country (went to Hague, Amsterdam, Rotterdam & Giethoorn), but that incident truly left a bad taste for me here, and i cant wait to finish my 4 weeks business trip here to go back home. Back home in hotels, we dont call our hotel guests rude, we dont attack their cultures, we welcome them and dont make them feel as house intruders, they are paying customers and we respect them. From the bottom of my heart, i hope no one ever faces this and feels the same way i felt. I was nice enough, but in the inside i was deeply hurt. I even suggested at check in time that if the host is not comfortable with me, i can easily cancel my booking and go to another hotel, but she said there is no need.
