Heng is a great host and very sweet! He helped us organise our trip to the temples and had great recommendations for exploring the city. We felt very comfortable and welcome.

Our airport taxi driver was good friends with the host and told them our ETA. On arrival we were greeted by the host and he made us lemon, honey and ginger iced drinks and gave us cold flannels. We then got shown to our rooms to relax which smelt of citronella as it was mosquito season when we stayed. Every time we sat on the chairs outside the room he would come and put the fans on and was so friendly always up for a chat. He was so informative and had lots of knowledge as well as being one of the nicest hosts we’ve stayed with. He’d even go to the local temple early hours of the morning to clean it and you can tell he does a lot for not only his guests but his friends and his community. Our taxi driver from the airport Luke was also amazing offering to pick us up at 5am from the guesthouse to see Angkor wat and then take us to any other temples and sights we wanted to see until 5pm although we were tired and didn’t last that long haha. He even took us to a local place for a traditional Cambodian breakfast and we felt like we weren’t hassled at all because we were with him. He was friends with the owner and his English is great pointing out sights and other things on the way that we could’ve missed including cashew nut trees, rice fields and so much more. The next day he then picked us up again taking us to the Killing fields memorial teaching us about what happened and also took us to the floating village before dropping us at the airport at 1pm. Luke is amazing and should definitely set up his own business as a private tour guide. Couldn’t recommend doing this enough if he is available .

The hotel is extremely cozy, the room was clean, and the bed was super comfortable. Overall, the area is lovely and pleasant! A special mention goes to the owner — such a lovely and welcoming man! He was incredibly helpful with his recommendations, offered us welcome drinks, and was just absolutely wonderful. You can really feel how much he cares about his guests. Highly recommend!
