Hotel Villa Colonial

Location is very convenient, plenty of things to do around. Staff were very nice. My favorite thing was the breakfast, I would say it is a culinary experience, a 4 course meal, very well prepared and flavorful. It is a very unique experience.

I think for the value, it is a fair deal.

Breakfast was excellent, a little bit too repetitive, but delicious, good presentation, and overall taste. Very friendly staff always willing to help with any request. All the desserts were absolutely delicious, a mango ice-cream or a dragon-fruit sorbet were mouth watering.

Outside of different versions of omlet there was not much of anything else. I mean breakfast consisted of a variety of tropical fruits, followed by a granola with yoghurt, then some bread with jam or honey or olive oil, and then different types of omelets, I believe there were 5 to chose from, all delicious and beautifully presented, and then finally dessert. Everything tasted great and all, so there's no complaining about any of that, but it's every day the same. I wish there was maybe some choices of sandwich with ham, prosciutto, cheese etc.

Such a great place to stay while visiting the colonial Santo Domingo. We especially loved the courtyard and pool. Breakfast was really outstanding. Staff was very friendly and kind.. Highly recommended to get the feel of Old Santo Domingo. We would return if we do visit again.
