About this house rental
Welcome to our family retreat we call Sola Resort!
Your comfort, safety and enjoyment are our top priorities, and we are located within the popular Solana Resort just minutes from Walt Disney World! Solana is not just a gated community; it is staffed 24 hours a day with a guard to ensure only authorized people gain access which offers an added level of security and the home has external video cameras on the front and side. Our booking policies ensure a minimum 1-day vacancy between guests to facilitate enhanced cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch surfaces and Check-In/Check-Out does not require person-to-person contact.
Enjoy our home as an Oasis from busy days in the many area theme parks, golf courses, shopping centers and restaurants!
Take a swim in our heated private pool or relax in the spa which are both enclosed in a screened lanai to keep the bugs out! Pool and Spa heating fees are automatically added to your booking, but if you’d rather not use the heating for the pool and spa, just send us a message and we will remove the charge (and the heating!)
There is plenty of room in the home as it boasts over 1,900 square feet of living space. Enjoy our Master Suite with a king-sized bed, lots of storage, private en-suite bathroom with a large shower and separate soaker tub and a walk-in closet for your convenience. A Jr. Suite has its own en-suite bathroom and offers a comfortable queen bed. The home also has two additional bedrooms with two twin beds each and a third bathroom. All bedrooms are equipped with their own televisions, and each has a smoke detector.
At the front of the house, wind down in the formal living room with a comfortable couch and love seat, read a book or play the various games or cards available to you. The formal dining room comfortably seats eight people to enjoy your family meals together. At the back of the house, you can kick back in the family room and watch the large high-definition television or enjoy the view of the pool.
Use our fully equipped kitchen to make breakfasts, lunches and snacks or release your inner chef to create full gourmet dinners. If you don’t feel like cooking, take advantage of the hundreds of restaurants that offer delivery using all the various delivery services. This eat-in kitchen also includes a dining table that seats, and four counter stools around the kitchen island.
For even more fun, the garage has been converted to a games room that has a pool table and foosball. The garage also houses a new, full-sized washer and dryer for your convenience.
Don’t forget to venture out and enjoy the many amenities that the Solana Resort has to offer, all included for you as a guest! To name a few, the Solana Resort has; a resort-sized heated pool and spa with plenty of lounge chairs and cabanas available, a brand-new 18-hole mini golf course, a children’s playpark perfect for our youngest guests, a ping pong table, a brand new pickleball court, and shuffleboard. An air-conditioned club house with a full-sized pool table, large screen TV and various scheduled activities. Oh – and the pool area has a Tiki-Bar to enjoy some snacks and cold beverages while you relax. All within an easy walk of the home.

Warning, this is a long one but I feel inclined to share our experience. Unfortunately, the property was not cleaned to the standard I had anticipated. First impression, the house looked okay. I walked around the first night to get everything in place and noticed my feet turned black from the floor. The next day, we discovered ant-like things crawling on the couches. I contacted the property manager and he said he'd send someone to treat it within the next day. This was the turning point for us. We pulled out the couch to find crumbs, dust, dead bugs, and an old pacifier. This started the domino effect of seeing the need for a deep clean of the floor. I proceeded to sweep, vacuum, and mop the floors just so it wouldn't feel so gross to walk around the house. Then I noticed there was dust on almost every surface in the house. I also found hair from prior guests on the floor and on the bedding. All this to say, there were clearly many shortcuts taken by the cleaning staff before our arrival. Someone did come the next day to set some traps for the bugs. I also contacted the owner about the cleaning issues and she was very apologetic in her response. The property manager stopped by after hearing of my complaints just to get on the same page. He mentioned that we should have contacted them to come and address the issues, but this is problematic. I shouldn't have to contact anyone about the cleanliness
of a home I am renting. It should be thoroughly cleaned before a new arrival, period. Additionally, I was not aware this was a "self-serve" villa until a day before I left for vacation. This is important info to know so you aren't left buying full-sized products for a weeklong stay in a place you are unfamiliar with. There is a bar of soap and 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, and 1 roll of paper towels and 3 trash/recycle bags in the kitchen. It is expected that the dishwasher and washing machine is started before departure. There is no detergent available for your use to fulfill this requirement. Additionally, cleaning supplies are very limited. As an aside, the pool in the back is the best part about this house. We spent a lot of time in the pool and it was very refreshing in the hot, humid August weather. I do think a handrail needs to be installed to get into the pool for safety. I hope this review is helpful. I also hope it is carefully reviewed by the owners and the property manager so further issues don't happen for guests in the future.
