Sitting on the hillside between Castellina in Chianti (8.5Km distance) and Panzano in Chianti (6.5Km distance) down an approach road of 1.5km, Podere di Casalta is a pretty collection of cottages and apartments. The resort's furnished sun-baked pool is fragrant with the rosemary that tumbles down its border wall. Making up the farm hamlet restoration, each holiday home which is individually owned, has solid crafted stone exteriors and traditional terracotta tiles with exposed beam designer finish interiors and a garden/terrace with a dining area. There are open views of rolling oak forests, vines, olives and hilltop towns.
While taking your front-row seat in the cool evening breeze to view the sunset you can plan a day trip to Siena, Florence and San Gimignano or a jaunt to the nearby Chianti villages to soak up your new way of life. Your plans may take you even closer to home tasting Monte Bernardi's organic wine 3Km away or dining with the locals at Le Panzanelle 5 Km away.
