Our Sunset Spot @ Zambujeira do Mar - Sea View

I do realize that part of our low rating is our fault. We arrived at dusk and had trouble finding the location (streets are not well marked). There was no key in the lockbox, fortunately a call to Marina meant that we were quickly saved! Lights in the common hallway leading to the stairs were out so it was a dark entry. Not an auspicious start. The apartment is a little dark in general and the lighting is not great. The kitchen and bathroom have been updated but the rest is a bit tired. The very small balcony has room for 2 chairs but it was all filthy so we didn't want to sit out there. The bedroom had a musty smell. There was no fan and there is no AC in this apartment. Some air circulation may have helped. The view from the windows is stunning though, it's a great location. We just felt like the place could use a little TLC. Totally personal preference, and you may feel very differently.

This is our second visit to Zambuzeira do mar, and definitely our favourite apartment. Everything was clean and modern, and the layout was fantastic for 2-4 adults. Waking up to this view was a breathtaking way to start each day. Highly recommended!
