Skiathos Avaton Hotel, Philian Hotels & Resorts

The property was excellent, the staff were so professional and welcoming offering a welcome drink on arrival. Particularly the manager Stelios went above and beyond to make our experience amazing, helping book beach clubs or restaurants. I’ve never received such a high standard and personal service like this. The facilities were top standard, and the breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed every second at the accommodation and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Skiathos as this should be your first choice to stay.

That we weren’t staying longer - I didn’t want to leave :(

Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome from both the hotel manager and receptionist, which made for a great first impression. The pool area is excellent, with very comfortable sunbeds that are perfect for relaxing. Breakfast offers a good variety of options and is especially enjoyable when enjoyed outdoors in the peaceful, relaxed atmosphere. The hotel's location requires crossing a busy road to reach the beachfront area, where you'll find plenty of tavernas and an excellent beach. We stayed in the suite featured on Booking.com, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly throughout our stay.

Our only slight disappointment was that the room did not quite match the standard portrayed in the photos on Booking.com, as it felt a little more tired and could benefit from some updating. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay.

Great location but in quite area: walking distance to the beach, town with lots of restaurants, shops, bars, port to other islands.

I liked everything

Staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great - lots of options for both hot and cold breakfasts as well as fresh fruit

Room smelt damp, sheets felt damp, bathroom was outdated. Walls very thin so could hear people in room next door talking, snoring etc. loud in corridors.
