I loved the opulent furnishings. that suited the period of the house. Also loved the availability of books, games, TV, WiFi etc. Breakfast choices were good and it was nice to have yogurt and chocolate treats! Spacious living, with outside patio, overlooking the garden. Quiet, peaceful, location. My husband was delighted when he realised that he had stayed in this home with the Orbell family when he was a youngster, and formed a lifelong friendship with the family. (After we were married we purchased Dr Orbell's Rakiura holiday home and are still living in it 53 years later!)

Location near queens park was ideal for us. Breakfast options were generous.

I could hear the family moving around next door. It didn’t bother us as such but i wasn’t aware from the description that the house has been divided up and this accommodation is part of a large house.

Excellent in every possible way. Tucked away quiet and peaceful very super convenient location.The stunning character features along with so many little extra thoughtful touches Ali has prepared in advance... From the heaters already warmed the whole spacious beautiful rooms to the chocolates and delicious breakfast. Spotlessly cleaned wirh everything was in perfect condition and tastefully decor throughout. Incredible value.

Absolutely faultless everything was immaculate.

The bed was the most uncomfortable bed we have had It’s an old double mattress on slats Tossed and turned all night with little sleep For people that are in the business of selling beds they should buy a good one There is also no heat in a very cold bathroom Shampoo would’ve been nice
