The property was stunning - beautiful historic villa, peaceful grounds, and a very relaxing atmosphere. The owner went above and beyond and even drove us to town for dinner and picked us up later. Truly memorable hospitality.

it’s historic and you feel like you’re in an old movie, full of character and the outdoor area is magical, I literally stayed sitting outside the whole time just taking in the beauty of nature and the sounds of birds. Alberto was super nice and accommodating, I didn’t read into the fact that they only serve breakfast so they offered to bring me food for dinner after my long trip. it was very thoughtful. I literally didn’t want to leave for the whole weekend, I stayed in and worked from there, did a lot of reading and writing. It was the perfect opportunity for self reflect.

Incredible!

Alberto works very hard to provide an exceptional facility. This hotel has an incredible old world charmand rustic feel. It was built in 1677 and it provides one of italy's best old world experience when it comes to staying at a vintage hotel. I cannot wait to go back and spend more time there. Beautiful place to stay!!!

much more than just a room

this used to be, and is a luxury villa like a chateau or manor, and you are getting more than just a stay in a room. The furnitures, atmosphere of the place, and other parts of the building complex, makes the stay very special. It is worth a detour to stay at this place. Have no doubts, you will be pleasantly suprised!

Extraordinary Villa, we felt like being in a movie and enjoyed the stay a lot. The Host Alberto welcomed us like family. We enjoyed also the Park of the Villa with the kids and took walks to see the cows. We were very happy to have found Villa Gropella and would love coming back!

you get the atmosphere that you’re in a British manor or castle from the 1700’s.

no airco, many muskitos. we had to purchase a spray in one of the rooms with more than 30 muskitos. Breakfast was nice, but could have more croissants and bread.

Everything. Friendly, warm welcome, historic house, peaceful, calm and relaxing after a long drive. Fabulous dog too. Amazing surroundings. Really comfortable bed in a warm bedroom and a good breakfast in an ornate dining room.

Perfect family room in agriturismo with a medieval castle atmosphere

Middle of winter, our family room was nice and warm. The single beds are very high! We put the mattresses on the floor coz the kids were scared of falling out. Very nice owners, felt very welcome! Can't beat the price for a family room! The hotel is like a manor/castle inside with old armours and tapestries. Amazing!

Séjour dans un lieu hors du temps, parfait pour une déconnexion totale et sans stress !

Le charme des lieux, la qualité de la literie, la gentillesse des propriétaires, la qualité du petit-déjeuner.

La salle de bain pourrait être un peu plus moderne (même si tout fonctionnait parfaitement) et devrait être équipée d'un sèche-serviettes.
