    I had an absolutely beautiful stay at Mai Pen Rai Bungalows in Than Sadet , Koh Phangan. If you’re looking for rest, peace, and uninterrupted quiet, I highly recommend this place. The staff were lovely throughout my stay, and I felt completely at ease from the moment I arrived. This is the kind of place where you can spend hours on your balcony simply watching the ocean and listening to the waves. The bungalows are private and ideal for solo travelers. They are not luxurious or fancy, but they are comfortable, charming, and offer incredible value for the experience. What makes this place special is the setting: you’re right where the jungle meets the sea. Waking up surrounded by nature and looking out over the ocean every day was unforgettable. It’s worth noting that because you’re staying in a forested, natural environment, the property isn’t perfectly maintained in the way a city hotel or resort might be. You’ll encounter wildlife and nature comes with the territory. For me, that was part of the experience and exactly what I signed up for. This may not be the best choice if you’re looking for nightlife, constant activities, or luxury amenities. But if your goal is to slow down, rest, read, swim, and reconnect with yourself, it’s hard to imagine a better place. I had an incredible time and would happily return. In fact, I can already see myself making this a yearly ritual.

    Really beautiful bungalows, basic but incredible views, friendly staff, great restaurant, and of course direct access to one of the best beaches on the island

    It's located on the most secluded part of the island , so the natural beauty is to die for. The calm, tranquil and pristine beach experience. Staffs are helpful but not very good in English. All are Non AC rooms The single rooms do not have a door for the bathroom and the water is not clean, mud colored liquid from taps.
