Superb quality hotel with excellent staff in Provence

Wonderful hotel set in fabulous grounds with great staff. Excellent innovative food offer. Rooms are all individually finished with great facilities. Staff are brilliant and keen for you to enjoy your stay. Everything is done with quality in mind, would definitely recommend. Good base for exploring this part of Provence although a car is needed

An authentic French experience, in an exceptional setting, with exceptional staff

A rustic and authentic French house, filled inside with interesting art. Outside the grounds were expansive with lots of sculptures, and there was a relaxing pool and outside dining area. The food and service was so good we had dinner there each night. Most of all, the staff really made our stay exceptional. The friendly family atmosphere will be the best memory we take from the place, they were all so nice and attentive to our 1 year old son.

We were put on the second floor with no lift. Moved to first floor. Both rooms had problems with air conditioning that did not work properly. This property has seen better days and living on past performance

Very peaceful stay at a charming property and a lovely host (Poppy) and staff (Pauline ea Al)

Beautiful country house, nicely maintained. The grounds are filled with sculptures from different artists, there is a very nice swimming pool. Located at the end of a dirt road, this is a peaceful place

Not much not to like. You have to expect not to be near a store, restaurant or other urban kind of needs. If you expect them you will be disappointed

the property was nice, everyone was super friendly the room was spacious & the bed comfy there are many nice villages in a radius of a 30 min drive lastly, the dinner at the restaurant was great

everything seemed a bit old and could have been better taken care of the pool area was nice, but the sun loungers partly broken and the water sometimes a bid turbid (I think it was not cleaned this specific morning) in general nothing grave.. but since the prices are generally high, we would have expected a bit more..

Artistic surroundings with incredible host in an old mystical water mill.

The hotel was excellent and critical to the success was the incredible energetic personality of the proprietor Poppy and her assistant Gabrielle. An incredible host with more real experience to share than could ever be documented in a review. The evening dinner was excellent and wine pairing to match. With I’sle sur la Sorgue as an adjacent village - what could one ask for more.

A Magical Experience

Greeted upon arrival, wine and piano before an exceptional dinner. The chef and staff delivered a stellar meal and experience. We enjoyed the pool, and the artwork on the property. We will return, and will recommend it to others. Thank you for making the experience such a memorable one.

A relaxing wonderful stay in beautiful surroundings

The property was unexpectedly beautiful - the art all around the cottage was a lovely surprise. Mrs Salinger was very welcoming and friendly. The pool was beautiful and the cottage very well equipped.

Ruhiger Platz zur Erholung und Entspannung.

Sehr schön und ruhig gelegenes Haus am Flüsschen La Sourge, nur wenige Kilometer entfern von Avignon. Inhaber Mme Salinger. Kunst und großer Skulpturenpark. Viele alte Bäume, enorm beruhigend. Chef Emanuel kocht hervorragend für die wenigen Gäste. Gutes Frühstück.

Lage, schönes Haus und Umgebung

Mageres Frühstücksbuffet, Lebewesen in Haferflocken (Fäden); wurden trotz unserem Hinweis nicht ausgetauscht. Ein Gedeck pro Person, keine zweite Tasse, kein weiterer Teller, kein Brotkorb, eine Serviette: sehr spartanisch für den Preis. Kein Wasserkocher in Zimmer, schmutziges Geschirr in Zimmer während dem dreitägigen Aufenthalt einfach stehen gelassen. Kleenes und Wc-Papier mussten selbst ausgetauscht werden. Essen gut, aber zu teuer für was man bekommt.

Calme et chaleureux. On s'y sent bien dès la première seconde

Un lieu magnifique. Nous avons été reçu avec une chaleur et une gentillesse incroyable. Les propriétaires de lieux nous ont partagé l'histoire de la Bastide et des personnes qui y ont vécu. Le lieu est d'un charme absolu aussi bien à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. La décoration est authentique. Chaque objet est à observer avec attention. Nous avions envie d'y séjourner pour une plus longue période. Merci pour la visite du musée privé.

Top-weerzien, na lange zoektocht.

Heb een 25-jarige vergeefse zoektocht doorgemaakt om la "Villa Rose" (cfr. Willem Elschot) in Isle-sur-la-Sorgues terug te vinden. Waarschijnlijk in het jaar 2000, had ik het voorrecht om daar (wegens mijn opperste dwaasheid in mijn geheugen als "Villa Rose" in Isle-sur-la-Sorgues gegrifte locatie) een onwaarschijnlijk overheerlijk verblijf en dan nog wel in 'la chambre bleue' te beleven! Toppunt was niet in het minst het ongekunstelde contact met de uitzonderlijke eigenaars. Extreem boeiend en exquis. Uiteraard werd ik meermaals gedreven om datzelfde nogmaals te mogen beleven. Bijzonder frustrerend was de 25-jarige 'onvindbaarheid' van de meermaals opgespoorde "Villa Rose". Mijn 25-jarige verdwaasdheid is gelukkig beëindigd met het inzicht dat "La Bastide Rose" in Le Thor mijn vergeefs opgespoorde betrachting was. Eindelijk kon ik een weerzien realiseren en dat was verre van teleurstellend en beantwoordde aan alle tevoren opgebouwde en in de loop der tijd gefrustreerde fantasmas.

Die idyllische Lage an dem Flüsschen Sorgue, die charmanten Besitzer, das ausgezeichnete Essen, der schöne Pool, das weitläufige Gelände. Wer ein top-modernes, cleanes Hotel erwartet, ist hier eher falsch. Wer sich hingegen auf den authentischen Charme des liebevoll dekorierten Hauses einlässt, wird es lieben.

Dafür kann das Hotel nichts, aber L'Isle sur la Sorgue am (Trödelmarkt-) Sonntag zu besuchen, ist hinsichtlich der Parkplatz-Suche keine gute Idee...

היה פשוט חופשה חלומית. הבית והצוות וכל מה שמסביב משרים תחושה של שקט ובריחה מוחלטת מהמציאות המעיקה. הארוחות שהכין השף הפרטי כל ערב היו טעימות ביותר, ממש גורמה, וכל בקשותינו הקטנות נענו בשמחה וברצון. ג'ולייט המארחת הייתה מלאת רצון טוב ואדיבות. הנחל הזורם ליד הבית הופך את המלון הזה למקום פשוט מושלם!
