Corte Spina

A beautiful old house, thoughtfully restored and decorated with great style, preserving its original charm. We loved the beautiful paintings, the elegant sitting room and the attention to detail throughout. The pleasant garden and peaceful setting among the fields make it a relaxing place to stay. Antonella and her husband were warm and welcoming. Private parking and easy access to Comacchio and the nearby seaside towns were also a big plus. We are especially grateful to Antonella for arranging a gluten-free cake for my husband’s birthday and setting up a lovely table for us outside. She made the surprise perfect, and we truly appreciated her thoughtfulness.

We missed having tea-making facilities, either in the room or in a shared area. As the tap water did not taste very pleasant and bottled water was recommended, a filtered-water dispenser would be a welcome and more environmentally friendly option. The bed and pillows could have been more comfortable, and we would have appreciated more bathroom toiletries, including shampoo and conditioner. Breakfast was very good, especially the homemade cakes. However, it would have been helpful to know what options were available, such as eggs. Some vegetables and a toaster would also have been welcome additions.
