Our stay was perfect. We loved every minute!

The staff were so nice! They all knew our names, asked us if we needed anything every time we saw them, and were always willing to go above and beyond. -Hiking trails: such great views and fun exploration (they have complimentary bug oil everywhere, definitely use it before hitting the trails!). -Food: Everything we had was excellent, especially Slate on Saturdays/Wednesdays. -Room: This was the first stay in Belize we had with really hot water and water pressure, the water was drinkable, and the fireplace with complimentary wood was so nice.

The road in and out can be a little rough after raining since it's all red clay. We got stuck while leaving after check out but they had a tractor there and pulled us out within minutes of calling, then followed us out with the tractor just in case.

Perfect stay with exceptional service, food and beautiful room and surroundings

From the moment we arrived the service was exceptional- greeted with a welcome drink and shown around the beautiful lodge, pool, restaurant and to our room. We stayed for my birthday and they had even left flowers and a birthday welcome message in the room for us. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished with homemade biscuits and incredible coffee which we had to buy a bag of before heading home! The pool was lovely, perfect for relaxing by with a cocktail while watching some of the wonderful bird life. The restaurant was exceptional and made for a perfect end to the day- their ethos for sustainable and local produce was fantastic and the food was showcased perfectly to allow tourists to experience true Belizean flavours and dishes with a fine dining edge. Our stay could not have been better!

very enjoyable for a get away in the remote belizean jungle

there are many hike-able trails and waterfalls, the staff take very good of the property. super pristine and clean. the rooms were clean and the food was great. everything was farm to table essentially. the staff were really nice and helpful. they offered complimentary shuttle rides to and from the trails on the property.

the trail map needs work. we got lost a few times while hiking (yes, could be due to our bad sense of direction too) but there are not indicators for elevation or miles on the trails. there are also some trails on the map that could have more landmark indicators like there are on the trails. because of the remoteness of this property, unless you rent a car you are eating all your meals at their one restaurant. the food is amazing but very pricey. i would recommend anyone who is traveling here to ask for the menus before hand as the food is (delicious) but very limited.

Absolutely beautiful place to relax and eat incredible food

The property is beautiful and in a stunning location. They have hiking, waterfalls, swimming holes, and THE BEST FOOD on their property! It was the perfect place to stay for a romantic getaway, but we loved it so much we’re thinking about getting married there so all of our friends can enjoy it too.

If I had to think of a complaint, the only one would be that the rooms aren’t soundproof. But there’s some distance between each villa so it wasn’t a big problem… it just made for one awkward room service delivery 😅 (sorry about that)

We had a take away breakfast as we went birding and it was delicious

The grounds are beautiful although the trails are more like 4x4 trails thank hiking trails which was disappointing. Our birder guide Marvin was wonderful. The front desk staff are not that friendly but my biggest complaint was their email communication, I received multiple repetitive emails prior to my stay but they never responded to email inquiries about booking experiences. Very frustrating

It's almost strange to see a native pine forest in Belize and Hidden Valley is in the middle of it. Very nice accommodation with a bit of a colonial vibe to it. Rooms were great but wasn't expecting a fireplace in Belize though! Very friendly and helpful staff as well. We only did one hike to the King Vulture falls with amazing views, but I'm sure you can spend several days hiking there :)

Not much, the beers could have been a bit cheaper though :)

The staff was wonderful. The cabins were comfy and well-equipped. There is really nice network of hiking trails and the trails are beautiful and well-maintained, though many of the trails need to be driven to.

The environment is not totally as anticipated. We expected a bit more biodiversity than we encountered, but the area is still nice. The menu at the restaurant was also quite pricey and there was some confusion as to whether or not breakfast was included. The lodge is rather difficult to get to and one does need a 4x4.

Fantastisch verblijf met super personeel

Het verblijf was super. Ze hebben heerlijke eigen koffie, zeepjes en muggen werend middel op de kamer. Het was er rustig, het personeel gaf echt dat beetje extra. Vroegen of ze het bubbelbad even voor ons aan moesten zetten na een hike en mocht je aan het einde van je hike er doorheen zitten komen ze je gewoon ophalen. Je krijgt een walkietalkie mee voor onderweg. De property tour in de 4x4 buggy was toch wel de kers op de taart. Prachtige omgeving en landgoed met indrukwekkende watervallen. En ja, ook het eten was heerlijk!

Eigenlijk was alles goed. Er was geen airco, maar het was wel te doen op de kamer.
