Pleasant stay, very good price/quality rate, friendly staff, excellent bar with wide range of drinks

The hotel is in an old building in the middle of the town. Nice parking facilities in the rear. The bar was excellent and well visited by locals.

The floor we were on (3rd) was not yet refurbished. The windows were hard to close and the heating system inadequate, even when it wasn’t sub-zero outside, yet. The TV was also not functioning and we noticed a slight waterleak from the roof (heavy rainfall ourside).

I don’t really have any complaints. I’d just suggest adding a few more choices to the breakfast menu, though the current spread is already generous and filling

Disgusting and unpleasant

The breakfast was acceptable, considering that it was the essentially cold buffet you find in most hotels.

The interaction with the person that I considered to perhaps be the owner/manager. Upon my arrival on the Saturday night after a long day, his greatest remark was that I had succeeded to book via Booking.com trhe cheapest room in the hotel and all the corridors were permeated with foul cigarette smell. The above notwithstanding, I tried to sleep despite the foul sewer smell that was also coming from the ensuite shower room/toilet. I couldn't sleep well because of the presence of a mosquito in the room that I didn't succeed to kill. In the morning, while checking out, I informed the same guy about the mosquuito and his words were "If you didn't want to be bitten by mosquitoes, you should have booked a room in 'another' hotel" (I withhold the name of the hotel that he mentioned). I then told him to verify the booking to eventually identify the person that he was saying such to, and I left promising to never find myself in the future within 100 miles of that property.

Recommended: close to the bus stop, in the centre of town, friendly staff and nice acomodation.

Place is super close to town, you can almost see it from the bus stop! And it's also easy to get there by bus. They let us leave our backpacks behind before check in, since we wanted to check the town. Friendly staff and super close to everything (it's a small town), with a pub on the ground floor which isn't an issue noise-wise, and it's nice if you want to hang out close to your room before going to bed.

The hotel is centrally located on a pedestrian street. The staff was informative about the city and even helped carry our luggage to our third floor room. The room was small but adequate for our needs.

The rooms that front the street are above the bar connected to the hotel. The patrons sitting outside were loudly enjoying themselves. If you go to bed early ask for a room overlooking the back.

Lovely stay

Compfy, clean beds, fluffy towels, good sized room, excellent food in restaurant evening and breakfast. Friendly staff, especially receptionist.

Rooms, especially bathrooms, could do with an update, but this did not spoil our stay as everything else made our stay very enjoyable. We wish we could have stayed longer
