Very comfy, cosy and clean stay near Chamonix. Look forward to staying again!

Great breakfast with a variety of food and drink. Front lounge and bar to go eat your breakfast and socialize. Pod beds were comfy, cosy and came with plug outlet, privacy curtains, light and warm bedding and earplugs plus first free drink token. The walls are thick, so you feel separate and it feels private even sharing with 6-7 others. Since I’m 5”5 it was super spacious and I didn’t mind climbing up top, but I’m a climber. Staff and communication was good in helping me find my room when I went to the wrong building.

Would be cool to have a front staff person occasionally but I get that the bar staff are there and the online communication is very consistent and helpful with instructions.

Value for money. We had a private double en suite room which was clean and comfortable.

There was a fire alarm through the night and all guests vacated their rooms. Communication was very poor - nobody came to speak to us while mustered outside.

I can definitely that my pad did not have been cleaned after the last person… or at least not properly. I was in agony with the amount of dirt and hairs and other peoples body stuff laying around my small bed… it’s so sad because I don’t mind sharing dorms but this was the dirtiest one I have ever been around Europe

The location was good, probably 15 mins walk from the town centre and there is a great bar on site, serving decent food and with a great atmosphere

This place is really a youth hostel with a few private rooms. The rooms themselves are fine, reasonably clean and comfortable, but the communal areas, hallways, stairs etc are not clean with plenty of dust and cobwebs.

This is what you get when you go cheap

Hoped for an easygoing, affordable stay, but cannot recommend staying in this place. Shared bathroom was filthy and so moldy that I can still smell it. Beds were not very comfortable. Place was loud, random, unannounced party outside my window one night.

Everything about the Vert Lodge fitted in with what my group looked for. Friendly staff, good value for money, clean comfortable rooms and a simple breakfast.

Nothing to report against Vert Lodge, but Booking.com did complicate the overall booking by not letting Vert Lodge know I had three bookings for the same night.

Great accommodation to complement great Chamonix adventures!

Straightforward and comfortable stay. Great facilities. Good value for money in Chamonix. Fully automated/self-service check-in, check-out, breakfast, storage - allowing for great flexibility when arriving/departing early/late or starting/coming back from hiking/mountaineering adventures at non-standard times. Restaurant on site. Good vibes with one music event during my stay. The place attracts lots of friendly fellow travelers of all ages. This was my third visit to Chamonix and third time staying at Vert Lodge.

It would be great to have an ability to buy Coca Cola Zero on site 24/7 (a vending machine, etc.)

One night in Chamonix… and thank goodness it was just one!

Some positive notes: the TV had access to Netflix and Prime Video — a nice touch if you plan to stay in the room.

We stayed at this B&B for one night only, after a wonderful day at the Chamonix thermal baths to celebrate my birthday. Our plan was to find a budget-friendly place just to sleep a few hours before leaving early the next morning for the Aosta Valley. We weren’t expecting luxury, but honestly, we didn’t expect what we found either. Confusing check-in: we knew the check-in was self-service via code, but that’s where the problems started. Our room was supposed to be number 6, but we couldn’t find it anywhere. In the end, we entered a room marked “9” — in fact, two different doors had the number 9 — probably a numbering error, but pretty frustrating after a long day. Questionable cleanliness and comfort: as soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a carpet that looked quite unhygienic. The bed sheets didn’t appear clean, which made us feel uncomfortable from the start. The bathroom was tiny and cramped, like an airplane toilet — gave me an instant sense of claustrophobia, and absolutely no desire to take a shower. The room itself was basic, with an extremely thin mattress: we both woke up with sore backs. Disappointing breakfast: this was by far the worst part. Only two small tables for all the guests, both occupied by people who had put their bags on the chairs and didn’t seem to care about making space. We ended up eating standing up. The orange juice machine wasn’t working, and the “continental breakfast” turned out to be a few supermarket ham trays left in the fridge. After a couple of bites, we left and had breakfast in town instead. In conclusion: this place is only suitable if you truly just need a place to sleep for a few hours, and nothing more. It’s not suitable for longer stays or for anyone expecting even a minimum level of comfort or a welcoming atmosphere. Personally, I wouldn’t go back.

Comfortable Stay!

Great location and good price for the location, but then you aren’t really getting anything fancy - but for where you are you don’t need anything over the top. We booked a double room and got given a twin room. We didn’t really have interactions with staff as they weren’t about. Cool place overall, mostly because where it is. Comfortable enough. We saw other rooms that looked better than ours and I think we would’ve enjoyed it more if we had more natural light in the room.

Reception is great! Room is small and cozy, yet spacious enough for 2 adults. View is divine (directly on the A. du Midi)! Breakfast is organized in form of take what you see and it's possible to take. In time from 5am (when they bring the baguettes) to 10am? Coffee is good, offer of games + books, restaurant is great! Service recommends and is nice. Affordable for Chamonix.

A little further from center of Chamonix and you need to travel by bus number 1 (always full) 1x every 30 minutes (approx. 20 minutes on foot). Half of bed was sagging and I was sliding to side - probably mattress is already older.

I only had this accomodation because French railways had a strike and I had to stay one more night at Chamonix. Lodge served its purpose, I left early and took train to Switzerland. Nearest railway station is within walking distance and I was able to have breakfast and coffee before 7am.

Pretty basic, rooms are small. There is not any extra space and overall it feels like a budget hostel.
